Irfan Pathan Takes A Subtle Dig At MS Dhoni Post CSK’s Loss To SRH; Harbhajan Singh Joins The Party Too

Irfan Pathan

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has now taken a dig at ex-Indian and current CSK skipper MS Dhoni. One of the best in the game, Irfan was not happy with the way that his career ended. He has been trying to play more cricket, urging the BCCI to let him play leagues outside India for quite some time now.

With that being said, he has come out and trolled the fans cheering for MS Dhoni. This was after CSK’s loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the recent fixture of the IPL. It was a third consecutive loss for the Chennai Super Kings and they are on a downhill spiral.

Here is what Irfan Pathan, who is quite vocal about his opinions, recently posted on Twitter-

The Real Problem In The Game And IPL 2020 So Far For CSK

A lot of out-of-form players are the main problem for MS Dhoni and co. The likes of Shane Watson, Murali Vijay and Kedar Jadhav have been totally “useless”. They have not been able to deliver at all. Even Ravinder Jadeja has looked a bit out-of-sorts. However, he was able to recover in this game and scored a decent 50.

A lot of pressure has been put on the likes of Faf du Plessis, MS Dhoni, Sam Curran and the bowlers. This has been the main problem for CSK right throughout the tournament.

Another key issue is that they are missing Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh, who have now left the franchise. The two players dropped out of the tournament, even before it started. Things did not end well with those two experienced players, who could have really made a difference to this CSK side.

Keeping that in mind, Harbhajan Singh joined in on the bandwagon as well. He Tweeted in response-

What Next For MS Dhoni And Co.?

Stephen Fleming and MS Dhoni really need to work on the weaknesses of this team. They will be in big trouble if they can’t turn things around. Three close losses will have hurt their case in making it to the top four. They will surely want to secure qualification to the playoffs.

MS Dhoni now needs to realize that he can’t really rely on these out-of-form players. He needs to step up and take more responsibility. A lot of Pundits and ex-cricketers have been trying to tell him the same. If anyone can turn this around, it is MSD.

Akash Chopra had Tweeted out something earlier, which suggested the same too. Below is the Tweet that the commentator had sent out-

Well, we all know what MS Dhoni is capable of. We have already seen glimpses of it in the current tournament. Let’s hope that CSK resolves their issues and put up a fight. The fans will be hoping for better performances in the days to come. Cheers to some good cricket!!
