IPL 2020 Bench XI Openers – Chris Lynn and Parthiv Patel (C)
Aussie batsman Chris Lynn has a remarkable reputation across all T20 leagues. However, Mumbai Indians didn’t play him in any match of IPL 2020. Proteas wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Cock was in superlative form in IPL 2020. He amassed over 500 runs from 16 IPL games with four half-centuries. So Mumbai Indians never changed their winning combination and Lynn have to sit out of the eleven of Mumbai whole season of IPL.
Royal Challengers Banglore wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel also had to warm the benches in IPL 2020. He piled up more than 300 runs in the previous season of IPL.
Batsmen – Manan Vohra, Siddhesh Lad, Tim Seifert
Punjab batsman Manan Vohra is a veteran player of IPL. He amassed over 1000 runs in 49 IPL matches. He also couldn’t break into eleven of Kings XI Punjab team in IPL 2020. Mumbai batsman Siddhesh Lad had to sit of the eleven of his team in this season of IPL. He played only one IPL match in his career but he is a proven player in the first-class level. He was part Kolkata Knight Riders squad in this season of IPL. Another Knight Riders batsman Tim Seifert couldn’t find any place in eleven of any IPL team. He represented the New Zealand team in 24 T20Is.
Allrounders – Sherfane Rutherford, Pawan Negi
Caribbean Allrounder Sherfane Rutherford was part of Mumbai Indians camp in this season of IPL however the success of first eleven players of Mumbai made Rutherford sit out of the eleven whole seasons. Royal Challengers Bangalore allrounder Pawan Negi fielded for his team in this season as a substitute fielder however never got his name on the team sheet.
Pacers- Akash Singh, Ishan Porel
Indian young pacers Akash Singh and Ishan Porel were in the UAE for IPL 2020. Bengal pacer Ishan Porel is considered as future of Indian pace bowling. He was part of Kings XI Punjab but couldn’t break into eleven of team whole season. Rajasthan Royals Akash Singh also didn’t get single opportunity to play any match of IPL 2020. He is left-arm pace bowler from Rajasthan.
Spinners-Sandip Lamichanne, R Sai Kishore,
Left-arm Tamilnadu spinner R Sai Kishore is a promising player. He bagged highest wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20. He was part of Chennai Super King camp in this season of IPL but couldn’t find any place in eleven. Nepalese cricketer Sandip Lamichanne is a very talented player. He played nine games and bagged 13 wickets in his IPL career. He was part of Delhi Capitals camp in this season of IPL. Capitals couldn’t include him in team eleven in any match of IPL 2020.
