The Sam Curran- Hardik Pandya Incident- England has had a poor run in the tour of India after they on the first Test of the tour. They lost the next three Test matches and lost the Test series 3-1. They suffered a 3-2 defeat in the T2oI series and also lost the first ODI of the series. So, they have become a little bit frustrated, especially during the ODI series, as the Indian batsmen have just pummeled them all around the park.
In the second ODI, India started slowly just like the first ODI. However, they pressed on the accelerator at the back end of the innings just like the first ODI. KL Rahul played the role of an anchor by scoring a century. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya smacked the English bowlers to guide India to a total of 336 runs after 50 overs.
Sam Curran was no exception, the duo of Pant and Hardik even took him apart. Hardik Pandya hit two big sixes in the 46th over that Sam Curran bowled and Pant smacked a one-handed six in that over. Hardik Pandya attempted a wild slog in the last ball, and if he would have connected that, that could have made matters worse for Sam Curran.
What Was The Incident Between Sam Curran And Hardik Pandya About?
Sam Curran felt frustration as he said some words to Hardik Pandya when he missed the slog in the last ball. Hardik Pandya notices it and ran towards Curran to give him back. The umpires decided to intervene to cool matters down. The incident happened onfield in the heat of the moment as both the players were trying to give their best for their respective teams.

India posted a massive total of 336 runs after 50 overs which has given them the advantage yet again
Indian batsmen once again inflicted serious damage on the English bowlers at the death. Sam Curran, his brother Tom and Ben Stokes all had to face the wrath of the Indian batsmen. Pant scored a fiery 77 runs off 40 balls and at one stage looked set to score the fastest century by an Indian batsman in ODI’s.
He failed to score the century. However, his knock which included three fours and seven sixes gave the much-needed launch pad for a big score for Team India. Hardik Pandya continued the onslaught forward as he scored 35 runs off 16 balls. He hit four fours and four sixes during his innings. Due to the power-hitting of Pant and Hardik at the end, India posted a total of 336 runs after 50 overs.
The England batsmen will now have to come out firing. It will be interesting to see how the English batsmen go about their business after they lost their way out in the middle in the last ODI.
