Watch: Brilliant Leg Spin Delivery By Matthew Parkinson Gets Everyone Talking

There have been some brilliant leg-spinners over the years. None better than the legend Shane Warne himself. The leggie is one of the best bowlers of all time and has done it all. He even has the claim on the title of the “Ball Of The Century”. However, every time a leg-spinner tries to replicate it, they end up a bit short. Nevertheless, they produce something special and that is exactly what Matthew Parkinson did, just recently.

The leg spinner produced a brilliant ball in a county game for his team Lancashire. The delivery made a great impact on the onlookers, who enjoyed spin bowling at its best. It was in the game against Northamptonshire in the County Championship 2021. The batsman to be dismissed was wicketkeeper Adam Rossington, who was beaten all ends up.

The Video Of The Brilliant Delivery By Matthew Parkinson That Went Viral

This was one of Matthew Parkinson’s best every delivery. That was clear by his reaction when he got the batsman beaten all ends up and bowled. It was one of the best deliveries seen by fans of the game in recent times. A leg spinner getting such a wicket is just brilliant. The fans just couldn’t stop talking about it, after seeing the turn it generated.

Unfortunately, the batsman Adam Rossington will just want to forget about it. He looked totally beaten by what he had seen and just had no answer. It becomes quite tough to estimate such a quick and sharp turn. From the leg stump to the off, what a ball!!

Below is the video of the delivery by Matthew Parkinson that went viral on Social Media-

Matthew Parkinson is from Manchester, England. However, this ball has made him a global talking point now. The video has gone viral and the fans are loving what they can see. Some brilliant leg-spin bowling. Something that they really appreciate at any point in time.

Lancashire Is In The Driving Seat; Should Be A Comfortable Win?

Lancashire is currently leading by 188 runs. Their batsman and bowlers have done a job in the first innings. All they need now is a good-enough total that they can defend. That should not really be a problem with their opening pair delivering a 60-run unbeaten partnership already.

There are still a couple of days left in this game. That means that there is easily enough time to get the job done. All it will take is some sensible batting now and a few good sessions. The game could be over by the end of the third day if Northamptonshire doesn’t step up.

For now, Matthew Parkinson would be delighted with his three wickets from the first innings. He and the other bowlers will surely want more in the second. Hopefully, their batsman can keep their head now and score more quick runs. That way, they have enough luxury to try to get maximum wickets and end the game on a high. This is Lancashire’s game to lose now!!
