FC Barcelona Have Already Signed A Midfielder; Fans Would Be Happy?

The biggest transfer story of the decade was the exit of Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona. The fans were unhappy about the player not being able to extend his stay at the club that he was with for 21 long years. However, with the current financial situation of the club, there was nothing that could be done about retaining his services. The La Liga giants eventually had to let him move on, as they could not offer him enough money to stay.

With that being said, the club has been trying to bring in cheaper alternatives in recent days. The transfer window is open and though they have certain limitations, the club is trying to add more quality. Ronaldo Koeman is in the need of more players that can reinforce his squad.

The Midfielder That FC Barcelona Has Already Signed; Can He Make An Impact For The Team?

There are a lot of young talents at FC Barcelona. Many of these come up from the La Masia academy and into the first team. Some of these young talents have already impressed the Dutch manager. Yusuf Demir and Gavi are two of the young stars, who have increased the expectations of the managers and the club’s faithful as of now.

Nico Gonzalez hoping for more chances at Barcelona - Barca Blaugranes

Along with them, Nico Gonzalez is also a player who has been talked up as FC Barcelona’s new midfield signing. He first impressed Koeman in a recently played match between the B reserve team and the Juvenil A. This has given the manager confidence to have him in the team for the upcoming campaign.

Below is a Tweet sent out after the player made his recent debut. Here is what he had to say-

An Impossible Task To Accomplish For The Club In The Upcoming Seasons; The Absence Of Lionel Messi Will Be Felt Forever

The overall contribution of Lionel Messi has been limitless. The number of goals he scores, the assists and the chances he creates. Plus Messi is a legend of FC Barcelona. He inspires the players and the fans to support the team even when they are down. Messi is more than just a player, he is an emotion.

An emotion that will be missed at the club. The player was a gem who could inspire the team to do much more than they could ever imagine. He was the best thing to happen to FC Barcelona forever. It will be impossible to fill this void, though the team will now try their best to appreciate his legacy and build on it. Despite that, it will not be really easy to do that and the struggle will continue for a few seasons, though Ronaldo Koeman will try his best to make a difference.
