According to Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida, Real Madrid are apparently in advanced discussions to sign Antonio Rudiger on a Bosman transfer during the summer transfer window next year. Rudiger is expected to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2022. Chelsea, on the other hand, has not given up on their efforts to guarantee the long-term future of the German defender.
Antonio Rudiger joined Chelsea from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, and he has gone a long way in that short period of time. While the 28-year-old defender has seen his fair share of difficulties throughout his time with the Blues, he has not looked back since Thomas Tuchel was appointed as Frank Lampard’s successor.

Since joining Chelsea in 2017, Rudiger has made 164 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in the process. Rudiger is largely considered as one of the top defenders in the Premier League. The Blues, on the other hand, are in a difficult situation regarding his long-term future, as the former VfB Stuttgart defender is entering the last year of his contract.
