Premier League Sides Looking To Sign This Chelsea Prodigy

Chelsea Tuchel

Chelsea is apparently contemplating the possibility of losing talented teenager Ben Elliott, with clubs like Southampton, Brighton, and Brentford interested in acquiring his services.

Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Brentford are all reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ben Elliott, who is entering the last year of his contract, according to a report from The Sun.

Elliott, a product of Chelsea’s youth programme, is held in high respect within the club and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players to come through the ranks at Stamford Bridge. A total of 20 appearances were made by the 18-year-old for the Blues’ Under-18 team, scoring four goals and assisting on three others.

Chelsea are keen to tie him down to a new long-term contract, given his potential, but there has been no movement in this regard as of yet

The dynamic playmaker has made eight appearances for the club’s Under-23 side and is now a part of the senior squad. Elliott, on the other hand, has an unclear future at the west London club as his current contract expires at the conclusion of the current campaign. Chelsea is keen to tie him down to a new long-term contract, given his potential, but there has been no movement in this regard as of yet.

Several Premier League teams have now been alerted to the prospect of making a bid for the 18-year-old former England youth international as a result of this development. Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Brentford are just a few of the teams interested in signing Elliott.

Southampton previously snatched a brilliant young player away from Chelsea last summer when they bought Tino Livramento from the Premier League champions. In his short time at St. Mary’s, the youthful full-back has already been thrust into the first-team picture, which is something that might appeal to Elliott, whose road to the Chelsea senior squad is now beset with stumbling blocks.

The future of Elliott is very unclear as of now

Two years ago, Brighton & Hove Albion signed Tariq Lamptey, a Chelsea academy product who had previously played for the club’s academy. Moreover, despite the fact that the young full-back missed a significant portion of the previous season due to injury.

He is considered to be one of the most interesting players in his position and has piqued the curiosity of many teams. If Elliott decides to follow him to Brighton, he will be coached by Graham Potter, one of the best coaches in the country.

With regard to Brentford, Thomas Frank’s side would also provide the 18-year-old with a much more realistic chance of playing first-team football than Chelsea, where Thomas Tuchel already has an abundant supply of options in the midfield and attacking midfield departments, despite the fact that Hakim Ziyech has recently been linked with a move away.

It is now up to Elliott to decide whether or not to sign a new contract and stay at Chelsea, or whether or not he will seek a new challenge for himself after his current term expires.
