Wife Of David Warner Posts A Cryptic Tweet To Troll Warner’s Critics

In response to David Warner’s detractors after his selection as the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup 2021, Candice Warner has poked fun at them on Twitter. Warner was the star batsman for the Australians, scoring 289 runs in seven matches at an average of 48.16 and a strike rate of 146.70. David Warner was absolutely breathtaking in the knock out matches of the T20 World Cup. The southpaw recorded three fifties, with his best score of an undefeated 89 being his high mark.

The 35-year-old Warner wasn’t in the finest of shape going into the mega-event, but he still managed to show his class and quality on the big stage. In addition, he became the second player from the World Cup-winning side to earn the Player of the Series title, after England’s Kevin Pietersen. Candice poked fun at the critics for their disparaging statements about her spouse with a caustic remark.

Candice took to Twitter and wrote, “Out of form, too old and slow! congratulations @davidwarner31.”

David Warner believes that 2021 will be right up there with 2015

Even in the final, against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, Warner was at his peak performance. He delivered a 53-runs standout knock in 38 balls to assist Australia in chasing down 173 with seven balls to spare. Aside from that, the left-hander linked Sunday’s encounter to the final of the 2015 50-over World Cup, in which Australia defeated the Black Caps themselves.

In his post-comeback interview, Warner said that “getting back to fundamentals” was really beneficial in regaining his rhythm. Meanwhile, as they chased a massive lead, he complimented his colleagues on their ability to perform under duress.

“I have always had a good feeling about myself. Obviously, I did not receive much playing time in the midst of the two practice matches. However, for me, it was all about getting back to the fundamentals. Going to a hard, synthetic surface and attempting to whack some balls is the plan. Definitely on par with the previous year. A decade ago today, being a part of the World Cup final versus England stung,” Warner was reported as saying after the game.

“These guys are a fantastic group of gentlemen. Excellent support workers, an excellent team, and excellent back-up at home. I just wanted to put on a fantastic show for everyone to enjoy. With a good score on the board, there is a little bit of nervousness. It is fantastic to watch the men come through,” he said.

A strong comeback from Warner

David Warner used to be referred to as “the bull.” During that time period, Warner was not only a successful cricketer, but he was also the live, breathing embodiment of The Line. Australians established a line, and only Australia understood where it was and what its pulse rate was, and only Australia could enforce it. No other country could do it, either.

In the first instance, he had no problem in raising questions about what South Africa did to force a ball to reverse, and then, four years later, he was one of the key instigators behind Sandpapergate, which resulted in the suspension of two players and now the tables have turned.
