LSG vs GT Live Update: Aakash Chopra, a former Indian opener, is perplexed by the manner in which the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are managing the batting position of famous all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. In his opinion, LSG is unable to effectively defend its entrance points. If they are successful in finding a solution, they will become even more deadly in this competition.
Chopra also believes that West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder is batting too low. This is due to the fact that players like Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni have been promoted in front of him. The fact that Holder is capable of hitting huge shots has prompted Chopra to feel that LSG should look into the situation and find a solution.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra provided the following insight about the upcoming match between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Gujarat Titans (GT):
“One of the most important questions that we have all been unable to answer is where Marcus Stoinis should be placed in the batting order. Because of the depth of the batting order, Holder does not get to bat as often as he would like. This is something the team should consider.”
Aakash Chopra believes that Krunal Pandya would not bowl as much against GT because of the presence of left-handed players in their line-up. He went on to say:
“In the absence of Krunal, you may see [Ravi] Bishnoi bowling in the presence of three left-handers in Miller, Tewatia, and Sai Sudharsan.”
LSG vs GT Live Update: Deepak Hooda will be put through his paces against the fast bowlers: Aakash Chopra
Manish Pandey was cut from the LSG squad after he failed to live up to his No. 3 position in the team’s starting lineup. Chopra, on the other hand, has been pleased with the manner in which Deepak Hooda has carried out his role
What did Chopra say about Deepak Hooda?
The 44-year-old believes that even though LSG’s new No. 3 is competent against spin, the GT pacers will pose some difficult issues for both Hooda and Krunal Pandya. He made the following statement:
“Lucknow is looking quite impressive and is winning even though Rahul is not even facing a ball. De Kock is a world-class hitter who will continue to perform well. Deepak Hooda, who comes in at 3, is responsible for the majority of the excellent work. He is fantastic against spinners. But he will be tested against fast bowlers in the coming weeks. Krunal Pandya will also be part of the test, as he has performed well so far.”
At first glance, the likelihood of a high-scoring game seems to be low in a matchup between two high-quality pace assaults.
Because of their recent success, the Lucknow Super Giants have risen to the top of the table. They also have an exceptional net run rate of 0.703. This is by far the highest among all teams this season. Another victory will guarantee them a spot in the playoffs. But they will be striving for a top-two finish in the standings. There is still a chance for the Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals to finish with more than 18 points.
