'There Are Signs That It's Going To Get Done'-Kevin Campbell Backs Arsenal To Complete The Signing Of The Superstar Before The Transfer Window Closes

Kevin Campbell, a former striker for Arsenal, is sure that the team will sign Youri Tielemans, a midfielder for Leicester City, before the transfer deadline.

Sacha Tavolieri, a journalist, says that the Belgian international player is still Mikel Arteta’s top choice as he looks for players to help him in the middle of the field. Tavolieri says that the north London club will make a move for the midfielder from Leicester City next week.

What did Kevin Campbell say?

Kevin Campbell is sure that the Gunners will sign Tielemans after Leicester City left him on the bench last week. The former Everton striker said that the deal would be done near the end of the transfer window. He told Football Insider:

“It is going to get done. The signs have been there for a long time. On Saturday, he was moved to the bench. There are games going on between the clubs. Now that we’re getting close to the end of the window, it’s time to go get him. Arsenal needs to get stronger than they are now. There will be games where you need to be able to use the team you already have.”

Campbell said that Arsenal need to add to their midfield. He said that if Tielemans played in Granit Xhaka’s spot, he could cause a lot of trouble. He added:

“Go and get him. Do whatever needs to be done. Bring him in and get him caught up. I can only think of what Tielemans could do in the positions that [Granit] Xhaka is playing. I think he could cause a lot of trouble for teams playing further up the field.”

Will Youri Tielemans move to Arsenal?

Tielemans’ contract at the King Power Stadium only has one year left. He has made it very clear that he will not renew it. From the Foxes’ point of view, it makes more sense to get money for Tielemans this summer than to lose him for free next summer.

The Gunners have had a good start to the new Premier League season, and they are currently in the first place. The team led by Arteta is the only one to have won all three games so far.

This summer has been a busy one for the north London club, as the Gunners have made five new signings. Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner, and Marquinhos have all joined the north London team in the current transfer window.

Jesus and Zinchenko have both made a big difference right away at the Emirates. But Arteta still seems to be looking for more players, and Tielemans is one of the main targets for the Gunners.
