Reports say that La Liga champions Real Madrid have their eyes on 22-year-old right-back Sacha Boey.
According to a report from the Spanish news site Defensa Central, Real Madrid is interested in Sacha Boey. The team that won La Liga last year has sent scouts to watch Galatasaray’s promising 22-year-old right-back play this season.
Sacha Boey grew up in France, where he began his career as a young player at Romainville. He then played for Red Star FC for a few years before moving to Stade Rennais in 2014. The young right-back finished his football training at Rennes, but he never made it into their first-team squad.
Real Madrid is very much showing interest in Sacha Boey
But the 22-year-old has improved a lot since he moved from Rennes to Galatasaray in July 2021. It took a while to get going, but he is now a regular player for the Turkish giants. So far in the 2022–23 season, he has played eight times, and his performances have caught the attention of several big names in Europe, including Real Madrid.
Real Madrid is interested because Dani Carvajal is getting up there in age. The Spaniard’s play has also been getting worse over the past few years, so Real Madrid might want to make a plan for who will replace him. To do this, Vinicius Tobias is already at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But Florentino Perez is smart enough to know that he shouldn’t put all of his eggs in one basket. And since Carvajal is getting close to 30 years old, Real Madrid might want to get another right back. So, Los Blancos now have a good chance of getting Sacha Boey.
This season, Galatasaray games have been watched by scouts from the team that won La Liga last year. And the 22-year-old right-back has caught the attention of Real Madrid’s scouts. So they might try to talk to them, especially since their top target, Reece James, is likely not going to sign with them.
Liverpool is also interested in signing Boey, so Real Madrid will have to move quickly if they want to sign him. It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid makes the 22-year-old a top priority in the next few months.
What’s next for Real Madrid?
Real Madrid plays Shakhtar Donetsk, but the game won’t be in Ukraine. Instead, it will be in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Carlo Ancelotti’s team will likely switch players in and out as they try to stay fresh and ready for Sunday’s El Clasico.
Madrid is the favourite and is comfortably in first place in the group. This is the main reason why you can expect to see some changes. Carvajal, Mendy, Tchouameni, and Vinicius could use a break before Barcelona comes to the Bernabeu, and this game gives Ancelotti a great chance to keep them on the bench.
It will be interesting to see if Benzema can get out of his scoring slump so he can feel better about himself and get back on track before El Clasico.
