‘Something That The Pakistanis Can Never Relate To’-Twitter Reacts After Indian Tri-Colour Seen Flying High Above MCG

'Something that the Pakistanis can never relate'-Twitter reacts after Indian tri-colour was seen flying high above MCG

The Indian cricket team arrived in Melbourne on Thursday. On Sunday, they will play Pakistan in the first game of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets at the 2021 T20 World Cup.

That loss put India on a downward spiral that they couldn’t stop. So they were kicked out of the group stage. This time, India, led by Rohit Sharma, has a chance to start off well against Pakistan.

Before the game, Indian fans in Melbourne did something special to welcome the team.

Since the T20 World Cup 2022 schedule was released, people have been getting more excited about the match between the two teams on October 23. But just days before the big game, bad news came out of Melbourne: it might rain on Sunday. India and Pakistan will start their T20 World Cup campaigns at the MCG on Sunday. But the depressing weather forecast makes it look like the game might not happen.

India will take on Pakistan at the MCG in the T20 World Cup 2022 and the Indian fans are surely excited for this clash

The Australian government’s Bureau of Meteorology says that there is still an 80% chance of rain on Sunday, mostly in the evening.

“Cloudy. Chance of rain is high (80%), most likely in the evening. Winds from the south at 15 to 25 km/h, shifting to the southeast in the evening,” recommends the BOM website.

On Sunday, October 23, the first-ever T20 world champions will play their biggest rivals, Pakistan, in front of a sold-out crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This will happen a day after hosts and defending champions Australia play cross-Tasman rivals New Zealand in the tournament’s first game.

India first got to Australia in the first week of October. They went to Perth and played two practice games against the Western Australian XI at the WACA Ground. From there, they went to Brisbane, Queensland, where they won the first of their two warm-up games against Australia by six runs. After that, it rained, and they couldn’t play their second warm-up game against New Zealand.

India is in the same group as South Africa, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and the winner of Group B. They are also in the same group as their biggest rivals, Pakistan, against whom they lost their first World Cup game by 10 wickets in Dubai last year.

Before the match at the MCG, we could see a hot air balloon flying above the MCG with the Indian tri-color in it. Fans could not keep calm and reacted to it.

Anurag Thakur, India’s sports minister, said on Thursday that the home ministry will decide if the Indian cricket team can go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year. But he doesn’t think there are “many” chances of the players going across the border.

Thakur, on the other hand, thinks that the Pakistan team will come to India to play in the 50-over World Cup next year.

Will India go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023?

BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who is also the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), said on Tuesday that the Indian team won’t go to Pakistan for the continental event and would rather play at a neutral site.

It made the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) say that it might make it hard for its team to go to the World Cup in India.

Thakur spoke after it was announced that the fifth Khelo India Youth Games will be held from January 31 to February 11 in eight cities in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
