"You Have To Pay.....", Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester United Told THE PRICE They Need To Pay For The 21-Year-Old Target

Despite interest from Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United, and others, Benfica president and Portuguese football great Rui Costa has insisted that the entire £103 million clause be paid in order to acquire Goncalo Ramos.

When Portugal advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, 21-year-old Ramos scored a hat trick and quickly became a household name. He scored a 6-1 triumph against Switzerland. However, he was unable to repeat his earlier triumph as Portugal was eliminated by Morocco in the quarterfinals.

However, Ramos is highly regarded. He had just 14 goals and four assists in 59 appearances for Benfica before this season. But he’s been playing at a far higher level as of late. Thus he contributed to 20 goals in only 21 appearances. He’s contributed to 14 goals and has scored 6.

That, predictably, has led to Premier League interest. According to Give Me Sport, many Premier League teams are interested. These include Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester United. But President Costa’s recent statements might throw a wrench in the plans.

All clubs Must Contribute £103M RAMOS CLAUSE

The likelihood of Ramos receiving offers of more than £100 million in the next January transfer window is low. It is thus quite probable that Ramos will continue at Benfica until the summer. In such a case, they could agree to a little price cut.

Benfica may attempt to outbid Liverpool for Darwin Nunez, who the Reds paid over £85 million for in the summer of 2018. All three of those teams have the financial resources to pay that kind of money. Nonetheless, it’s possible that they put it off until the next summer.

Does Ramos deserve such a high salary? After his brief World Cup appearance, his value is likely to have increased. Yet, it is yet to be determined whether he is a player deserving of such high salaries. Why not, if he continues scoring goals for Benfica?

Though it’s common knowledge that you shouldn’t sign a player fresh off an amazing World Cup performance, Gonçalo Ramos might prove to be an exception after a stellar season with both his club and country.

Ramos, 21-year-old, has had a breakout season for Benfica, scoring 14 goals and dishing out six assists. He was already drawing notice before making headlines in Qatar.
