According to CMW, Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, “truly loves” Arthur Melo, a midfielder for Liverpool who is now owned by Juventus.

The Italian media outlet CMW reports that Juventus are interested in acquiring Gabriel from Arsenal in the next summer of 2023. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a fan of Liverpool’s Arthur Melo.

The Italian and European champions have long had their eye on the Brazilian defensive stopper.

Will the transfer be possible?

It is our opinion that Arsenal will not transfer Gabriel to Juventus or any other team in the summer of 2023.

It’s just incomprehensible. The Brazilian is a crucial cog in Arsenal’s success. If Arsenal wins the Premier League this season, they have no need to trade him next summer.

Gabriel also renewed his contract with Arsenal in October of 2022. Arteta may still have feelings for Arthur. But if he decides to sign the Brazilian, it will be in a way that doesn’t affect Gabriel’s contract.

We do not anticipate Liverpool keeping Arthur through the end of the season due to his fitness and injury concerns.

The Gunners have identified a number of alternatives along with Tielemans in central midfield. Arthur is the most recently connected. The 26-year-old was loaned to Liverpool from Juve in early September for the balance of the season. But due to injury, he has only played for 76 minutes in senior matches.

Although Arthur has yet to make an impression for Liverpool in the Premier League, he may still have a part to play until the end of the season, when he will return to Italy. This may be the ideal transfer audition for Arsenal.
