Arsenal Transfer News: In his Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Real Valladolid right back Ivan Fresneda. The Gunners want to add a new right-back to their roster this summer. Fresneda is specifically listed as an option.

Romano said, “Despite reports to the contrary, at the moment I’m not aware of any negotiation between Arsenal and Inter for Dumfries. They are exploring right back options and Ivan Fresneda remains appreciated, they are sending scouts regularly to follow him, but Dumfries has completely different value for Inter and at the moment his situation is still quiet.”

There have been rumors that Arsenal are interested in signing Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. But according to Romano, everything is still calm and he hasn’t heard anything about any discussions regarding the player. The 18-year-old is the center of attention for the Gunners, who have sent scouts to see him in action for Real Valladolid.

Throughout his childhood, Fresneda was a member of the Real Madrid youth program. However, his expectations were not met at La Fabrica. After his entry in Real Valladolid’s youth program in 2020, he is now a member of the first team. Since then, he has only become better and better.

The 18-year-old has quickly risen through the ranks and become an integral part of the team’s success. During the current season, he will be playing with Valladolid’s first team. And he’s already shown himself worthy of playing in Spain’s top division after just six months.

Thus far this season, he has played in 12 games, accumulating over 800 minutes in his debut season at the highest level. The Real Valladolid defenseman will likely play an even more significant part in the second half of the season. Others around him have taken note of Fresneda’s remarkable play.
