“We Rejected To Sign Him” Manchester United Turned Down An Opportunity To Sign The €41.7M Rated Player

Manchester United Transfer News

Manchester United Transfer News: Manchester United are currently placed fourth on the EPL points table. The Red Devils ran through a massive transformation under the guidance of Erik ten Hag. The way they have been playing football goes to show that they are certain to qualify for the top 4 this time. The EPL giants have done pretty well in the first half of the season. They managed to collect as many as 39 points from 20 games so far. The 13-time EPL champions have won as many as eight games. On the other hand, they lost five games this season.

Manchester United have played out for a draw thrice this season. However, there is still plenty of room for improvement and if backed properly by the team management, the Red Devils might as well go on to become an incredible force to be reckoned with again. Recently, there were reports stating that Manchester United enquired about Olympique Lyon‘s central midfielder Houssem Aouar. The club are forced into the market after Danish midfielder Cristian Eriksen sustained an untimely ankle injury during the FA cup clash against Reading.

Manchester United finally made a move to recruit the services of Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer on loan. The fans hope that the manager will bring the best out of the 28-year-old midfielder going forward into the second half of the English Premier League.

Manchester United Transfer News: Manchester United turn down a chance to sign Saul Niguez

Saul Niguez Manchester United Transfer News

Red Devils have turned down an opportunity to recruit Saul Niguez after reportedly being offered to them. As reported by Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports, the Red Devils rejected the opportunity to sign at least 4 new midfielders. They even rejected the chance to sign the former Chelsea midfielder Saul Niguez. The Atletico Madrid player has been pretty decent in the midfield in La Liga. However, Manchester United were not interested to sign him in the first place.

In fact, the Premier League side literally didn’t want to enter the transfer window this month. The new manager wanted to be patient at least until the summer in order to get the priorities and targets right. The former Ajax manager reckoned that he had the squad to brave the challenges in the ongoing season. Sky Sports News took to its official Twitter handle and posted the video clip. The video was about Man United pursuing the deal for Marcel Sabitzer.

For the unversed, the likes of Isco, Houssem Aouar, Yannick Carrasco and Saul Niguez were offered to the Premier League side. However, in the end, the club went with Marcel Sabitzer. The caption reads, “Isco, Saul Niguez, Houssem Aouar & Yannick Carrasco have all been offered to Manchester United today. But the club have decided to pursue a deal for Marcel Sabitzer instead.”

“We could see Saul struggle to adapt to the intensity, instructions and style of play of the Premier League,” then-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel told Sky Sports last September.

“Sometimes in life you have to make quick and important decisions. From the moment I heard about this opportunity I knew it was right for me,” Sabitzer added in a statement.
