Arsenal Transfer News: According to reports, Arsenal and Leeds United will battle for the Bosman transfer of Ilias Akhomach, a promising 18-year-old star player for Barcelona

Arsenal Transfer News: Spanish publication SPORT claims that Arsenal is interested in signing Ilias Akhomach. The Gunners are keeping an eye on the 18-year-old sensation at Barcelona. The Whites of Leeds United are also interested in signing the young player.

Six years have passed since Ilias Akhomach joined Barcelona from Gimnastic Manresa. The former Hostalets de Pierola player is a member of the Spanish national under-19 team. After joining Barcelona’s youth system in 2017, though, he has made tremendous strides and is on track to become a professional in 2020.

The youngster, who turned pro in November 2021, has already made three appearances for Barcelona’s first squad. The young star has been busy this season, appearing in 20 games for Barcelona Athletic. As all is going on, Akhomach is in the final months of his contract and will soon be a free agent. Arsenal and Leeds United have been made aware of the issue.

The 18-year-old has reaffirmed his commitment to Leeds United by signing a four-year deal, they said. It will be exciting to watch whether the Gunners are able to outbid Leeds United for the young player.

The youthful prodigy may be a great asset to Leeds United. Arsenal may be able to sway the player’s opinion, though, since the Whites are currently in a relegation battle. It remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old Barcelona phenom would go against the terms of his contract and sign with Arsenal.
