Arsenal Transfer News: Spanish giants, Real Madrid have reportedly identified footballing brain Mikel Arteta as a managerial target to replace the veteran Carlo Ancelotti.

Arsenal Transfer News: Ever since legendary Arsene Wenger called it quits as the Arsenal manager, the club was in a disarray trying to find a way to recoup rhythm. In his farewell speech, Arsene urged the team management to take care of the values of the football club. After his exit, Unai Emery was appointed the manager. However, things didn’t really look promising for the Gunners.

The Arsenal fans were fed up after witnessing a series of inconsistent results. The fans had to endure the biggest heartbreak after losing to Chelsea in the Europa League final. Later on, the Gunners’ hierarchy took a bold decision to sack Unai Emery from the managerial post, leaving the position vacant.

It was the right time for Arsenal to bring back their former player, Mikel Arteta as the manager. Mikel Arteta worked as an assistant coach at Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. He picked up the footballing brains of the mastermind and gained a great deal of experience. When the opportunity came calling, Mikel Arteta sprung into the Emirates with optimism.

In his first interview, he added that he has a dream to transform the Emirates into a fortress. In a very quick span of time, Mikel Arteta mingled with the team and went on to win the FA Cup in his first season, in what was truly a magnificent achievement. Arsenal went on to lift the 14th FA Cup, the highest by any club in the history of the competition.

On the other hand, the results didn’t come in favour of Arsenal in the English Premier League. Mikel Arteta did take to figure out which players he needed to take the club forward. At the same time, some players had to part ways with the club. Although the process and transition took time, it was indeed worth it.

The fans have already started to trust the process. The fact that Mikel Arteta turned the young team into potential title contenders goes to show how far they have come after enduring setbacks. Arsenal are currently on top of the Premier League points table as they bagged as many as 63 points from 26 games (20 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses).

Amid Arsenal’s dream run in the league, reports of Mikel Arteta linking with Real Madrid as the future manager started doing the rounds on the internet. According to journalist Tomas Gonzalez-Martin, Mikel Arteta is seen as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid. Speculations were rife that Ancelotti could leave the club at the end of this season.

The rumours started to spread after Real Madrid are trailing in the La Liga title race. Needless to say, Mikel Arteta wouldn’t want to leave Arsenal for sure. He was part of the club as a player and now he is delivering the goods as a manager. Mikel Arteta has just started to build the team and is destined for greatness at Arsenal as a manager.
