"£25m For Him" - Arsenal Start Negotiations With The 22-Year-Old Striker To Bring Him In the Summer

Arsenal Transfer News: Red Bull Salzburg wants a hefty sum for striker Noah Okafor, who is valued at £25 million, and Arsenal is interested in signing him

Arsenal Transfer News: The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal has shown interest in acquiring Noah Okafor this next summer. The attacker from Switzerland is going into the last season of his contract with Red Bull Salzburg. If other teams are interested in purchasing the Swiss attacker, his current club in Austria will want a hefty transfer price of over £25 million.

Several European teams have been keeping tabs on Noah Okafor all season long because of his high profile as a player. The summer before last, teams were scouting the striker. The Swiss forward’s choice to stay at RB Salzburg has paid off handsomely.

During his time here, he played in the UEFA Champions League and scored goals against top teams like AC Milan and Chelsea, gaining invaluable experience in the process. Okafor’s contract is nearing its last year. Therefore he may choose to play at a better level elsewhere. Many teams have shown interest in signing him.

In 30 games, Okafor has contributed to 10 goals and 5 assists for Salzburg in all competitions. A select few Premier League teams will find his all-around performance to their liking. Even though they’ve already bought a few players from Salzburg during the last two transfer windows, Leeds United are still interested in signing him.

According to the report, both West Ham United and Tottenham are also considering making a move. There were rumours that the Hammers and Arsenal were interested in the striker before the January transfer window. David Moyes brought in the seasoned Danny Ings, but the Gunners opted for the promising Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners allegedly still want Okafor and have made a summer move possible. Salzburg expects a hefty sum because of the forward’s high valuation of £25 million and the interest from numerous elite teams.

Will Noah Okafor move to the Gunners?

They might ask for as much as £25 million. While the player is now in his last season, it’s quite improbable that he would fetch such a high transfer value. The Gunners allegedly kept an eye on him in January as they looked for a replacement for Gabriel Jesus before their championship run.

They have filled the vacuum with Trossard, and in the summer they may come back for Okafor. The coach may have had a favourable reaction from the Swiss star’s international colleague Granit Xhaka. Also, the star’s skillset may be a good fit for Mikel Arteta’s system.

Nothing appears to be moving the issue forward. Thus it will continue to develop for the time being. There will be many sets of eyes on Okafor. The player may be open to a transfer to Arsenal if the club expresses enough interest.
