Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Declan Rice for the next season, as reported by Fabrizio Romano of CaughtOffside. The 24-year-old has been on their radar for some time. They want to sign him within the next few weeks.
Rice is now one of the most sought-after players in the world. Many teams in the Premier League would want to sign him. The England international is expected to leave the Hammers in the forthcoming transfer window, despite the fact that his contract with the club extends until the summer of 2024.
The West Ham United squad has relied heavily on its captain for a number of years. He has played in over 240 games for the Hammers and has been directly involved in 27 goals. The 24-year-old has chipped in with 8 goals so far this season while playing in 46 games. Meanwhile, Romano claims that negotiations between Arsenal and Rice’s representatives will begin in the following weeks.
What’s the matter?
Arsenal is looking to strengthen their midfield for the next season. Acquiring Rice is a top priority. Mikel Arteta has been fantastic thus far this season. But he thinks the park’s core needs additional high-calibre features. They’re looking to add someone to the roster who can help them maintain possession of the ball more often and set the tempo for games. The 24-year-old West Ham midfielder has been touted as a potential asset by the Spanish boss.
The Gunners have decided to release Granit Xhaka. The move of the Swiss international to Bayer Leverkusen is expected to cost roughly €15 million. If he leaves, the team may fill the vacuum by acquiring Rice. It’s safe to assume that the West Ham midfielder will be an improvement. The 24-year-old is a world-class midfielder who will serve them well for many seasons to come.

In the next weeks, Arsenal will make an offer to sign Declan Rice, a 24-year-old standout midfielder for West Ham United
Although Arsenal has been persistent, West Ham has been reluctant to begin discussions until they have secured their berth in the Europa Conference League final.
Arsenal’s point total and league finish have both improved in each of Mikel Arteta’s three full seasons at the helm. In that time, they have done an excellent job of refreshing the team with younger players and replacing the ones who weren’t performing. They did this despite still being a competitive team on the field and without the financial boost from the Champions League (they haven’t participated in the tournament since the 2016–17 season).
The next degree of difficulty has arrived. They are one of Europe’s youngest elite teams. So some degree of growth is to be expected as players mature. They could need some additional depth in the middle and some more offensive punch up front, for example. They’ll also likely seek to trade or release a few key players.
