Arsenal Player Set To Leave The Club For Manchester City

Football Insider reports that Arsenal would do all it takes to keep Ethan Nwaneri. The 16-year-old prodigy has been linked with a transfer, with rumors pointing towards Manchester City. Mikel Arteta and the rest of the coaching staff are confident in the youngster’s abilities and could battle to retain him.

Mikel Arteta has created vessels out of Arsenal. The manager has made a strong impression by maintaining a consistent first-team roster throughout the season. Ethan Nwaneri, then 15 years old, made Premier League history when he was sent into action against Brentford earlier in the season.

This is a statement of will and boldness on the manager’s part. But it really only showed that he had faith in the academy’s young players. Under-18 manager Jack Wilshere has praised Nwaneri’s development at the Hale End academy, calling him an “exceptional” potential.

Arsenal’s academy has produced a number of successful players for the first squad in recent seasons. Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah, Folarin Balogun, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and Bukayo Saka are just a few of them.

Arsenal has an opportunity to urge Nwaneri to stay at the Hale End Academy and continue his development as he watches those players become stars. Despite this, a number of teams are showing interest in the 16-year-old, who still has to sign professional contracts.

Arsenal hasn’t offered him a professional contract despite growing concerns about his potential exit for more than a year. Nwaneri has already established himself on the pitch by making 12 appearances for England’s Under-17 team.

Arsenal will do all in their power to keep Ethan Nwaneri, a talented 16-year-old, despite reports linking him to Manchester City

Both Chelsea and Manchester City want to add Nwaneri to their academies before the summer ends. The London club hopes to add Nwaneri to the roster after signing intriguing Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchison last summer.

The 16-year-old Arsenal prospect is a hot commodity. However, Manchester City seems to be the frontrunner. They’re looking to add a number of promising young players to their roster and have just finalized a deal with AFC Wimbledon to acquire custodian Spike Brits.

Manchester City’s acquisition of Nwaneri will be a statement of purpose and a major blow to Arsenal’s aspirations to retain top youth players. The 16-year-old is the club’s future. Therefore, the Gunners will do whatever it takes to keep him.

They may, however, lose some of their best young players (16-year-olds) to Manchester City’s academy, whose Under-18 sides have won the league championship in each of the previous three seasons. Many people aren’t surprised by the fact that young people, who may place greater weight on a winning attitude, flock here.

Arsenal has little control over whether or not they will be able to hang on to Naneri. Until the 16-year-old signs professional agreements, they have no assurance of a suitable salary should he decide to depart at a later date. Manchester City may be ahead at the moment. However, the Gunners will do all in their power to prevent a star player from their youth system from joining their biggest rival.
