Arsenal Transfer News: The GOAL reports that negotiations between Arsenal and Mason Mount have begun. There is speculation that the Chelsea midfielder may leave the club this summer. Several teams are keeping tabs on him, and one or more of them may make a move for him in the upcoming transfer window.

Mount grew up in Chelsea, so he is well familiar with the area. He worked his way up through the ranks and is now a key member of their starting lineup. They won the Champions League a few years ago. The 24-year-old was a major reason why.

Although he is still a vital part of their first-team roster, his future with the club is unclear. Mount has a deal with the team that keeps him there until the summer of 2024. With little over a year remaining on his current contract, the Blues have made several attempts to sign the 24-year-old to a new contract. They haven’t been successful thus far, however.

Equal remuneration with the club’s biggest earners is what the player is seeking. The Blues, though, are not prepared to offer him a deal like that. To avoid losing him for nothing in the offseason, Chelsea is thinking about letting him go this summer.

Several clubs in the Premier League are reportedly interested in signing the 24-year-old. Additionally, Arsenal are in that group. The Gunners have been excellent so far this season. They were in first place in the Premier League throughout the bulk of the season. They will compete in the UEFA Champions League the following year.
