Arsenal Transfer News: Yunus Musah, a midfielder for Valencia and the United States national team, has apparently been contacted by Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

The Athletic claimed late last year that if the Spanish club got bids of approximately £17 million, they could be prepared to transfer Musah. According to a recent report by 90min, the midfielder has three key suitors, all from the Premier League, despite being under contract with Valencia until the summer of 2026.

There has been ongoing communication between Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea and Musah’s representation. The English Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion are also allegedly interested in signing the American midfielder.

There have been rumours that the 20-year-old is interested in playing for other European teams. The player has been linked to Atletico Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, and VfL Wolfsburg.

Arsenal Transfer News: Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal Want Yunus Musah

According to Transfermarkt, Musah played 18 games for Arsenal’s U18 squad and contributed five goals and three assists. The player who was linked to Liverpool and Chelsea departed the Gunners in 2019 to join Valencia’s reserve squad. He was promoted to the main team the following season.

In the 101 games he’s played for Los Che since then, the American has scored five times. He has assisted on three more. Musah has started 27 of their 30 La Liga games this season. Moreover, he has averaged 4.9 successful duels, 1.6 tackles, and 0.6 critical passes per game while also dishing up two assists.

He made his USA debut in 2020. He has since gained 24 caps for his country. The midfielder has been instrumental for the United States. They have advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, laying up two assists in as many games.

Musah began and played the whole of the first 75 minutes of their next three matches in Qatar. In addition to completing 87% of his passes, he won 4.5 duels, made 2.0 tackles, and gave 0.8 crucial passes per game on average.

The rumour mill has linked many other players with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea in addition to Yunus Musah. Mason Mount, a midfielder with the Blues, has been linked to a move to the three aforementioned teams.

The summer of 2024 will mark the end of Mount’s current contract at Stamford Bridge. Since contract talks haven’t produced results, Chelsea may want to offload him this summer for a fair price.

Since making his Chelsea debut in 2019, Mount has appeared in 195 games, scoring 33 goals and dishing out 37 assists. They won the UEFA Champions League in 2020–21 in large part due to his efforts.
