Arsenal Vs Chelsea: Jose Mourinho Could Have Been At Chelsea; Here’s What He Did Instead

Latest Barcelona News

Arsenal Vs Chelsea: Ahead of the game at The Emirates, a story was doing the rounds. The report was about the return of Jose Mourinho to West London. It talked about how the Blues were looking for the right man to take the Chelsea job. However, former boss Mourinho, had rejected the chance to take charge for a third time at Stamford Bridge.

After sacking Thomas Tuchel and eventually Graham Potter, Todd Boehly decided to look for the next main-man to sit at the helm and control his team’s fate. A lot of names would have surely popped up. Frank Lampard was made INTERIM MANAGER, with the ongoing search that continued.

However, one man, who has NO LOVE LOST for Chelsea, clearly said NO, it has been confirmed now. And that man is Jose Mourinho, as confirmed by The Mirror.

What Happened When The Blues Tried To Bring Back Mourinho For A Third Time!?

It has been confirmed that Jose Mourinho turned down Chelsea. And he decided to stay with AS Roma, when the Londoners offered him a job once again. This has been confirmed recently by the manager known as THE SPECIAL ONE!!

The Corriere dello Sport reports, via Football Italia that Mourinho had been contacted by a Chelsea director. He wanted a potential return to London for the ex-Spurs main-man. He wanted to re-hire Jose for Chelsea, where he enjoyed a couple of successful outings under Roman Abramovich previously.

However, the Roma boss refused. He did not even take part in the discussions over the vacancy. Instead, it has been confirmed that he wants talks with Dan Friedkin in a bid to secure his long-term future in Italy. This clearly shows that Chelsea are in trouble and even Jose Mourinho might not be able to help them at present.

Arsenal Vs Chelsea: The Battle For London!!

Chelsea made the trip to the Emirates, hoping to take something back home. However, that was not the case and they ended up getting beaten by a top Arsenal side. The Gunners scored thrice in the first half. And it was game-over from that point, despite Chelsea’s valiant efforts.

Martin Odegaard scored twice and Gabriel Jesus added a third to ensure that Arsenal got all 3 points. On the other hand, Noni Madueke pulled one back for the visitors. Despite that, it just wasn’t enough. Frank Lampard suffered yet another defeat. And his poor record against Mikel Arteta continued.

The Arsenal vs Chelsea fixture once again raised many questions regarding the Blues. They were poor on the night and will want to forget all about it. Apart from a few positive performances, the rest of the team looked dull. Even the substitutes had no real impact. Things are just not looking good for Chelsea.

On the other hand, Arsenal had a great outing. This was the perfect match for them post the loss to Manchester City. Chelsea brought back the best in Arsenal and the hosts regained some form that they had lost in recent times. London derbies are always special and this was clearly more for the team in RED!!
