In January, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle United might make a bid to bring Jonathan David to their clubs from Lille.
Jonathan David, who scored ten goals for Lille this season, has had a remarkable campaign. The Canadian star’s team was aiming for a strong World Cup performance. But they were eliminated in the group round. He was mostly inconsequential throughout the group stage. He could now shift his focus to club football.
Will Arsenal get Jonathan David?
As a result of his play for Lille, David has attracted the attention of many major clubs. The Premier League has shown the most interest in signing him, namely Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle United. Although there has been interest from Spanish clubs, it seems that England is the frontrunner to sign the striker.

All three of the Premier League clubs have been linked to the Ligue 1 superstar as they search for a new striker. David’s robustness, quickness, and precision as a finisher are all assets to any squad. As the attacker is eager to leave the French giants, those clubs may make a strong offer in the coming days to see how committed Lille is to keep him.
.Mikel Arteta may consider signing David if Arsenal is serious about finding a forward to replace Gabriel Jesus. There aren’t many prolific goal-scorers available. The Gunners won’t sign anybody if they have to pay above-market value. For example, David will probably cost more than €60 million.

And finally, Newcastle United wants to bolster its offence in time for the next January transfer window. After a win against Leicester City, Newcastle moved up to second in the table. Eddie Howe is looking for ways to strengthen the team. They have the talent to contend for the Premier League, but they need the proper pieces to get rolling.
Newcastle still has ties to a number of potential strikers and wide attacking targets. David may be considered for the club’s future as a possible alternative to Callum Wilson.
David’s desire to leave Lille in January remains unchanged. But it’s unclear if a Premier League club would meet Lille’s asking price. There’s a chance these parties may meet together and negotiate a lower price. But the French side might not go below the €60 million barrier.
