“He Is Definitely Going To Be A Big Signing For Arsenal” – Mikel Arteta Wants The £47.5M Chelsea Star In The Summer Of 2023

"He Is Definitely Going To Be A Big Signing For Arsenal" - Mikel Arteta Wants The £47.5M Chelsea Star In The Summer Of 2023

Arsenal Transfer News: The Gunners are apparently interested in acquiring Raheem Sterling, a winger for Chelsea who has struggled since his £47.5 million summer transfer

Arsenal Transfer News: It cost Chelsea £47.5 million to bring Raheem Sterling to the club at the start of the season. As of yet, though, he has not come up to par with the hype around him. According to 90min, Arsenal is planning to make a summer transfer for the 28-year-old. Mikel Arteta, the manager at Arsenal, had worked with the English national team player at Manchester City. And Arsenal’s manager thinks highly of Sterling. More than that, Sterling has already shown his respect for Arsenal’s boss.

The Gunners will need a stronger roster to compete in many tournaments next season. Sterling might be a good addition to that group. Before the beginning of the season, Chelsea paid the Premier League champions £47.5 million to acquire the player. Sterling, though, has only provided 6 goals and 3 assists in all competitions combined.

Arsenal Transfer News: What’s the matter?

"He Is Definitely Going To Be A Big Signing For Arsenal" - Mikel Arteta Wants The £47.5M Chelsea Star In The Summer Of 2023

It was hoped that the former Manchester City and Liverpool winger would immediately improve Chelsea’s attack. Things at Stamford Bridge have not gone as planned for the 28-year-old. And whether or not he’s ready to take on a new task this summer is still up in the air.

Arsenal could need some additional depth in their wide positions. He may be a good match for them. Arsenal has relied too much on wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. They’ll need more defensive help for the two players if they don’t get it soon.

With his adaptability, skill, and expertise, Sterling might be a valuable asset. You would be a terrific match for Mikel Arteta’s offensive unit. Sterling’s versatility means he can play anywhere across the front three. On the other hand, the Gunners have also shown an interest in acquiring Lucas Paqueta.

Chelsea, who signed Sterling, 28-year-old, to a long-term deal, will be looking to recuperate some of the money they spent on him at the beginning of the season. Arsenal’s willingness to pay through the nose to obtain his talents remains to be seen.

Arsenal has not participated in Europe’s biggest tournament since the 2016–17 season. But their dominant run for the Premier League title has all but ensured that they will return for the 2023–24 season. Sources have revealed to 90min that Arteta is trying to acquire players with European experience as Arsenal prepares for their comeback to the tournament. Sterling is on his radar since he was the Spanish manager’s assistant at Manchester City.

According to sources, Arteta is a big admirer of Sterling because of his versatility in the attacking line. He would consider making a bid to sign the 28-year-old if he became available this summer.
