Manchester City Has Now Entered The Race To Sign The 25-Year-Old Arsenal Player

Manchester City is interested in signing Arsenal fullback Kieran Tierney, although Newcastle United is currently in the lead

Football Insider reports that Newcastle United are now in the driver’s seat to sign Kieran Tierney. The 25-year-old defender has plummeted to the bottom of Arsenal’s pecking order and is expected to be released soon. Even Premier League giants Manchester City want to sign him. However, the Magpies are now in the lead.

Tierney went through the Celtic club’s levels before joining Arsenal in the 2019 offseason. In those first few years, the now-25-year-old did become a mainstay on their first team. However, the current season has not gone as planned. The Scotland international has been plagued by injuries. He has seen his playing time reduced since Manchester City signed Oleksandr Zinchenko. He has played in 34 games, albeit for just a little over 1,400 minutes.
