Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda has been linked to a transfer away from the club. Both Fulham and Arsenal showing interest in acquiring him
The 18-year-old Spancenter back Ivan Fresneda is reportedly wanted by both Arsenal and Fulham in the forthcoming transfer windows, as reported by Spanish publication El Desmarque.
This season, Ben White has been starting for Arsenal at right back. Arteta may use a quality right-back in the coming months. But the former Brighton & Hove Albion defender is essentially a central defender. The Real Valladolid defender, who is just 18, has remarkable potential. He has a lot of potential. Moving to Arsenal might help him realize it more quickly.
The Spanish defender has a release clause of about €30 million and has appeared in six league games for the Spanish side so far this season. As his release clause increases to €45 million after 22 games, the Gunners should move quickly to acquire him.
Fulham, on the other hand, would benefit greatly from acquiring Fresneda because of their need for a young, talented right back. The London club now has Kenny Tete and Kevin Mbabu available to them as right-back possibilities. Fresneda, on the other hand, might develop into a greater player than any of them.
What’s the report?
In the long term, the 18-year-old’s enormous skill might make him a steal for both teams. Fulham has been linked to many right-backs, notably Rick Karsdorp of AS Roma.
Arteta has demonstrated a desire to cultivate young talent since taking over at Arsenal. This bodes well for the pursuit of Fresneda. Furthermore, he may provide the Spanish defender with consistent playing time at the Emirates, allowing him to reach his full potential. Fulham should provide the 18-year-old with plenty of playing time.
Either of the two Premier League teams might make an offer of about €30 million to recruit the defender. But that has not yet happened. It’s quite improbable that Real Valladolid would approve of his leaving for a transfer sum that’s less than his release clause.
The squad coached by Mikel Arteta is now on a roll at the top of the Premier League standings, five points ahead of the currently undisputed champions, Man City.
After an exciting 2022 World Cup in Qatar this year, however, the January transfer window is fast approaching. Rumours have surfaced about Arsenal’s transfer targets.
