Tottenham Hotspur Want To Sign The Manchester United Player Worth £40 Million

At Old Trafford, Harry Maguire has lost his starting spot. He has to go if he wants to be a regular starter for the next football season. Reports indicate that both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United’s 30-year-old centre back. On the other hand, he may be available for a price of roughly £40 million.

Maguire, who will be a free agent after the next season, would greatly benefit from a transfer away from Manchester United in order to play more regularly and get his career back on track. Next season, he will be competing with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez for playing time at centre-back.

Kim Min-jae isn’t the only defender said to be in Manchester United’s sights. And if they opt to re-sign another centre-back this summer, Maguire will be much lower on the totem pole. Meanwhile, the defense at Tottenham Hotspur has to be bolstered this summer. The 30-year-old could turn out to be a valuable resource. Maguire has established himself in the Premier League with Leicester City. However, he has been fairly disappointing since his big-money transfer to Manchester United.

At the conclusion of the season, Tottenham Hotspur would want to acquire 30-year-old defender Harry Maguire from Manchester United

He has the skill and expertise to succeed at Tottenham, but the contract with the London club has yet to be finalised. This season, Spurs’ defence has been a weakness. They’ll need to shore it up if they want to return to the Champions League and contend for titles. A suitable backup for Cristian Romero must be acquired. But whether Maguire will start next season alongside the Argentine international is still up in the air. Despite being connected with a number of managers in recent days, Tottenham has struggled to find a worthy successor to Antonio Conte.

What’s next?

Whether or not they can find a strong replacement for the Italian manager is an open question. Any deal for Maguire may have to wait until a new manager has been hired. It appears doubtful that they would wrap up the transfer business before hiring one.

There has been talk about Joshua Kimmich leaving Bayern Munich in the summer. According to 90min, both Chelsea and Manchester United have been discussed as possible destinations. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also considering signing the German star. Kimmich has been an integral part of Bayern Munich’s first team. He has the potential to be a similarly valuable addition to Chelsea and Manchester United. The 28-year-old was born to play in the middle of the defence.

However, he is also versatile enough to play right-back. His adaptability is a major plus. Arsenal and Liverpool, meanwhile, are also interested in acquiring the Bayern Munich star. Because of the uncertainty surrounding N’Golo Kante, Chelsea must acquire a talented defensive midfielder. The Frenchman has yet to sign an extension at Stamford Bridge. Therefore, he will become a free agent this summer. Chelsea will need a new defensive midfielder if he decides to go. Kimmich may be a good replacement.
