Calciomercatoweb, an Italian news website, claims that Chelsea is interested in signing goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. The 33-year-old custodian from Juventus is seen as competition for Andre Onana by the Blues. However, with Inter Milan asking for 40-50 million for the Cameroonian goalkeeper, his fellow Serie A star has become a potential target.
For almost half a decade, Wojciech Szczesny has been one of the top goalkeepers in Serie A. Arsenal loaned the Polish international to AS Roma in July 2015, marking his first time in Italy. And since joining Juventus from Arsenal in July 2017, the veteran goalie has made tremendous strides.
Szczesny’s career has flourished since joining Juventus. He’s been a rock in goal for the Bianconeri. The 33-year-old has played 215 times for Juventus and kept 87 shutouts. However, Chelsea has shown interest in Szczesny. So his future in the Premier League is not set in stone.
Mauricio Pochettino is the frontrunner to replace Antonio Conte as manager at Stamford Bridge. According to reports, the Argentine strategist is already making preparations for the next summer signing period. It has enabled the West London club Chelsea zero down on the best possible transfer candidates. And they want to get a goalie before the 2023–24 season starts.
As an alternative to Inter Milan’s current goalkeeper, Andre Onana, Chelsea will try to sign Juventus’ 33-year-old Wojciech Szczesny
Chelsea has reached out to Andre Onana’s representatives at Inter Milan, who represent the goalkeeper. However, Chelsea is put off by the €40-50 million required to sign the Cameroonian international. And thus, in an effort to strengthen their roster, the Blues have set their eyes on Wojciech Szczesny.

The legendary career of the Juventus custodian is winding down. However, he still ranks well among Serie A’s finest goalkeepers. Therefore, Chelsea’s possible interest in the 33-year-old is not unexpected. The only way a deal can be done is if Inter Milan sticks to their original asking price of €40-50 million for Onana.
It remains to be seen whether Pochettino attempts to have Wojciech Szczesny transferred to Chelsea during the next summer transfer window. Given the Polish international’s history with Arsenal, any trade is certain to spark debate.
L’Equipe reports that Manchester United are keen on signing Neymar. The 31-year-old striker is contemplating his options this summer. It’s possible he’ll try to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar was re-signed by PSG from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 for a then-record amount of €222 million. The French club was serious about assembling a roster of A-list players with the hopes of competing for and winning the UEFA Champions League. Even Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi were able to join PSG. They haven’t managed to snag that coveted UCL trophy, however.
