Arsenal News Today: The status of Arsenal players Bukayo Saka, Reiss Nelson, and William Saliba has been updated by Fabrizio Romano. The Gunners will want to maintain all three of these players. But Saka and Saliba are particularly crucial, and things are looking up for at least one of them.
The Daily Briefing author Fabrizio Romano has reported exclusively for CaughtOffside that Saka’s future at Arsenal is certain. Negotiations are progressing with Nelson, and Saliba’s situation is not yet progressed.
Saka has been a standout for Arsenal since he was promoted from the club’s youth to the first squad. Saliba has made an immediate impact after returning from a couple of loan stints this season to become one of Mikel Arteta’s most crucial players. Meanwhile, Nelson seems to have excellent potential as a team player. He is both adaptable and hard-working enough to succeed in a variety of positions.

Mikel Arteta maintains that Arsenal’s match away to Manchester City on Wednesday is not a Premier League championship-deciding game. However, he does admit that his team must now play flawlessly to maintain their lead.

The Gunners now face Manchester City in a title-deciding game
Both Manchester City and Arsenal are riding extended undefeated streaks. This might be a Premier League title-deciding matchup, but City may have the upper hand.
The nerve of Arteta’s squad has been called into question after they have played to three consecutive thrilling draws. They had early 2-0 leads against Liverpool and West Ham but ultimately settled for 2-2 draws. However, they came back from a 2-0 and 3-1 deficit to earn a 3-3 draw against Southampton in the last three minutes of regulation.
They had won their previous seven league games in a row. Three of those victories came by a score of 3–0. Undefeated in 10 league games, one more than City, and scoring three goals or more in seven of those games, their undefeated streak was halted by a Europa League loss on penalties to Sporting Lisbon after drawing both legs of the last-16 contest.
Since their early February loss to Tottenham, City have gone 13 wins and 3 draws in their last 16 games in all competitions. In that span of league play, only relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest have managed to get a point against them. That was thanks to a late equalizer from Chris Wood in February. During that time, City has won its other eight league games, picking up 25 of a possible 27 points.
