It has been claimed that West Ham United has placed a £100 million price tag on Rice. Thus making him the most highly compensated British footballer in history. As Rice’s current contract will end in 2024, they may have to settle for a cost of about £80 million. Chelsea tried to recruit their former academy player. But now they risk losing him to the competition. A veteran of 221 West Ham matches, Rice has contributed 11 goals and 13 assists.
