“Arsenal Wants To Do It Anyhow”, David Ornstein Reveals That Arsenal Wants To Get The €280,385-PER-WEEK Super Star Anyhow

Arsenal

Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid is allegedly a target for Arsenal. After Gabriel Jesus of Brazil went down with a knee injury in Qatar, the Gunners are looking to replace him.

David Ornstein reports that Mikel Arteta’s team is attempting to borrow Felix on loan for the remainder of the season. Although Atletico Madrid would likely want a substantial loan fee, they will allow the player to go.

However, Ben Jacobs noted that the transfer fee for the Portuguese star would have to be in excess of £85 million, with a loan costing £8 million. Chelsea and Manchester United, in addition to Arsenal, are keeping an eye on the youngster.

Speaking on NBC Sport, Ornstein said: “Along with Mykhailo Mudryk, they also want to borrow Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid. Several clubs have tried to sign him. But right now there are too many. His agent, Jorge Mendes, knows that he needs to move because he isn’t liked at Atletico.”

He added: “Arsenal wants to do it, but for that to happen, the numbers would have to go down. I think it’s likely that they will. It would only be a loan for six months, which will cost a lot. He is a good player, though.”

Joao Felix moving to Arsenal?

The team led by Mikel Arteta is also attempting to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk during the next transfer window in January. However, they are having trouble reaching an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk due to significant price discrepancies between the two teams.

According to reports, the Ukrainian club is asking for £80 million for their top player. The Gunners are offering little more than £55 million.

Arsenal will be missing Gabriel Jesus for the next three months. This will hinder their championship hopes in the Premier League. After hurting himself at the FIFA World Cup, the Brazilian had surgery earlier this month.

Mikel Arteta has employed Eddie Nketiah in the forward position. But he thinks they need more help to keep challenging for the championship. As of right now, the Gunners are five points ahead of Manchester City in the standings.

Since Felix is reportedly leaving Atletico Madrid due to a disagreement with manager Diego Simeone, he may be a great addition to the Gunners.

When he signed with the Spanish club from Benfica three years ago in a record £113million deal, the 23-year-old was hailed as the “next Cristiano Ronaldo.”

In spite of this, Felix has barely hinted at his full potential while playing under Simeone. The two have had a tense relationship since the agile attacker isn’t a fan of Simeone’s football philosophy.

The three Premier League giants that have been linked with a transfer for Felix in January are Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
