Manchester United Transfer News: Lovro Majer, a midfielder for Rennes, has drawn interest from a number of teams, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United Transfer News: Two Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Rennes offensive midfielder Lovro Majer and might make a bid this month, according to JeunesFooteux. United have struggled in recent years, but the addition of Ten Hag has helped them catch up to rivals like Liverpool and Manchester City.
Majer moved to France from Dinamo Zagreb last season. He immediately made an impression on the national team, contributing to 14 goals in Ligue 1. However, he has been unable to make an impression this year. In spite of this, teams are still showing interest in signing him.
Manchester United Transfer News: What’s the matter?
In order to get the most out of Majer, Rennes’ management is willing to put in more time and effort on the field since they don’t want to lose the promising youngster. There are rumours that Tottenham is also planning to make a bid for the player.
Because of their recent troubles, Antonio Conte may need a more inventive midfielder. But he does not have one available to him. That game-changing contribution from Majer in the closing third won’t cost as much as some of the other options out there.
Will Tottenham get him?
Rennes paid him €12 million. He’s likely to demand a cost of about €40 million from a new team. Majer is a technically proficient player who also has the ability to adapt his defensive skills when necessary.
Having a versatile midfielder like him after losing Donny van de Beek for the rest of the season to a horrible injury is a huge boost for United’s chances. Rennes can get a lot of offers in the next several days, so they better get ready.

Not even Erik ten Hag’s good luck can explain Arsenal’s sudden rise to the top of the Premier League. But he still thinks Manchester United can derail the Gunners’ title hopes if they beat them on Sunday. Arsenal has surged to the top of the Premier League table, five points ahead of second-place Manchester City ahead of this weekend’s matchup against United at the Emirates Stadium. As Mikel Arteta’s squad only won 15 of 18 Premier League games this season, they are in an excellent position to win the league for the first time since 2004.
