“Mikel Arteta Has Been Given £50 Million To Spend In January”, Arsenal Set To Buy THESE 2 PLAYERS In January For These 2 Positions

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has been given £50 million to spend in January. But none of the players he acquires will be able to take the position of the injured Gabriel Jesus for Arsenal

Arsenal will reportedly aim to bring in two new players in January. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has a £50 million transfer budget. He is looking to bolster specific areas. But they are not expected to seek a replacement for Gabriel Jesus.

When the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar finishes later this month, the Premier League will restart. And the attention will shift to Arsenal, who, along with Manchester City, is expected to mount a serious Premier League challenge.

Recent days have seen a lot of discussions centred on Arsenal, specifically the developing scenario with one of its key players, Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian attacker injured his knee in the Selecao’s shocking defeat to Cameroon in the group stage finale. It seems as if the striker had a difficult 64 minutes on the field before being taken off.

The evidence suggests, however, that Jesus was injured far earlier in the contest and choose to play through the pain. The Brazilian international player has been ruled out for the next three months. He will miss the rest of the season after not playing any further part in Qatar.

Who will Arsenal buy in January?

Old ties to strikers arose as soon as the news came, but Mikel Arteta is not going to bring in a replacement for the Brazilian. It’s possible that the idea is to stick with the tried and true method of employing solely Eddie Nketiah.

The possibility of Emile Smith Rowe playing the false-nine position has been mentioned by Arteta. During his time away from Jesus, he may decide to give it a try. It’s possible that Arsenal may hold off on signing a successor until the summer. But they still want to make some moves to acquire other key players during the January window.

Arteta plans to bolster his team with a new wide striker and a central midfielder in the new year. Arteta is said to have £50 million at his disposal during the window. But he won’t be using any of it to find a new Jesus.

Mykhaylo Mudryk is a top priority for Arsenal this month. But the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement on a transfer cost for the Ukrainian international from Shakhtar Donetsk. The youngster has apparently expressed a desire to join the Gunners. Sources close to the club are optimistic that a transfer to Arsenal can be finalized in the next window.

What’s next?

Arsenal is considering a number of players, including several who play in the midfield. Arteta has concerns about the defensive midfield position since Thomas Partey has no real competition. The Gunners rely heavily on the Ghana international. But he has fitness issues that have been a problem in the past.

Danilo, a midfielder for Palmeiras, apparently piques Arteta’s interest. The Gunners have been in contact with the Brazilian player and are contemplating a formal offer.

If the rumour mill is to be believed, Arteta will have £50 million to spend on players during the January transfer window. When considering the reported price tag for Mudryk, Arteta may need to raise their spending if they want to sign him and another star player.
