Arsenal Have Been Urged To Sign This £60m Star

World Cup champion and former Premier League player Emmanuel Petit has encouraged Arsenal to give purchasing Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise first priority. Petit feels that before competitors like Manchester United and Chelsea step in, Arsenal should do everything in their can to get Olise.

Standout talent Michael Olise attracted a lot of attention from elite teams in the January transfer window. Despite a rumoured £35 million release clause in his contract, he decided to remain at Crystal Palace and inked a new four-year contract at Selhurst Park. Still abounding in rumors, however, is the idea that a number of major teams are interested in signing the young French international during the next transfer window.

Mikel Arteta, reportedly, is much interested in Olise and is intrigued by the winger’s skill and adaptability. Any club wishing to bolster their assault will find Olise to be an appealing candidate because of his versatility in front line play. Particularly struck was Petit, who saw Olise in action on May 6 during Crystal Palace’s 4-0 win over Manchester United.

“I watched Michael Olise against Manchester United [in Palace’s 4-0 win on May 6] and I thought he was incredible,” Petit told Grosvenor Sport.

Olise’s abilities and inventiveness on the pitch were emphasized by Petit. He pointed out that he and another Palace player Eberechi Eze pulled off stunts throughout the game that demonstrated their extraordinary ability. Petit added: “Arsenal should do everything they can to sign him over Man United and Chelsea. He did some tricks during the game – and so did Eze – where in my day they would have left the stadium on crutches.”

What more?

Olise appeals because of his potential for development as well as his present skills. His play style would fit Arsenal’s offensive ethos. He has already shown at the top level at only 22 years old. Because of his adaptability, Arteta has more choices when assembling a dynamic and surprising offensive line.

Petit thinks Michael Olise would be a terrific addition to Arsenal and he wants the team to do everything in their ability to get the talented winger. Arsenal’s offensive options may be much improved by his exceptional performances and adaptability.

I agree with Emmanuel Petit that Michael Olise should be signed by Arsenal from Crystal Palace. Olise is a fantastic match for Arsenal’s approach having shown extraordinary skill and adaptability. Seeing him play against Manchester United, you can tell he has what it takes to succeed at a larger club. Petit feels Arsenal need to take all possible measures to get him, and I agree. Arsenal’s offensive options might be enhanced by Olise’s inventiveness and talent. It would be wise to beat rivals like Man United and Chelsea to his signing. Arsenal has to bring this about.

More news:

Chelsea is again back focused on Manuel Ugarte. They have rekindled their interest in the Uruguayan midfielder as they prepare for summer purchases. PSG is prepared to part with the 23-year-old as part of their clearout plans.  According to TBR reports, Chelsea is again interested in Ugarte. They see him as a possible replacement for the uncertainly-employed Conor Gallagher. Tottenham has taken the lead in the hunt because they believe Gallagher will leave and see him as a successor.

PSG jumped in and grabbed Ugarte away last summer when Chelsea was ready to pay his release clause. Ugarte’s playing time at PSG hasn’t lived up to his great reputation from his days at Sporting CP. Chelsea now believes he would be a good Gallagher replacement and may look into getting him to Stamford Bridge. PSG is demanding £51 million, however, which might put Chelsea off. Their fascination in the South American midfielder is still strong, however.
