Arsenal Identify The Alternative Of Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal Identify The Alternative Of Benjamin Sesko

According to The Express, Arsenal wants to acquire Dominic Solanke, a striker for Bournemouth. Since Man City has won the Premier League the previous two seasons, Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his team. In 2022–2023 the Gunners closed the deficit with Man City from five points to two points.

Arsenal has made progress, but Pep Guardiola’s Premier League supremacy has not been broken. To improve their team, the Gunners are ready to make significant investments this summer. One possible target has surfaced: Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig. But the Slovenian striker is also much sought for by Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Arsenal has seen Solanke as a backup and runs the danger of missing out on Sesko. At the Emirates Stadium, getting a top-tier striker is still a key goal this summer. The club had already decided to go without a No. 9, depending instead on Kai Havertz to spearhead the assault. Now Solanke offers a reasonable alternative at £65 million.

With Bournemouth, Solanke enjoyed a record-breaking season, scoring 19 goals and dishing out three assists. Rumor has it that, before the following season, he may join a “big six” Premier League team after his outstanding performance. Being one of Bournemouth’s primary players, Solanke is probably not going to be sold. He finished fourth in Premier League scoring behind Cole Palmer, Alexander Isak, and Erling Haaland. Even with his outstanding campaign, Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney were chosen for England’s Euro 2024 team, leaving Solanke out.

The possible transfer of Solanke to Arsenal emphasises the desire of the team to compete at the top level. The need of ending Man City’s supremacy is highlighted by Arteta’s desire to bolster the team. With Solanke possibly joining Arsenal, the team could have the offensive strength to contend for the championship.

Moreover, Romelu Lukaku might leave Chelsea this summer. Napoli has shown interest. While on loan at AS Roma last season, Lukaku made an impression. Talks of moving to Napoli have gotten more momentum this summer. According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea would only think about moving Lukaku permanently. They are against granting the Belgian striker another loan.

Lukaku is supposedly valued by Chelsea at £38 million. Any club may or might not agree to this amount. But Napoli looks determined to get the seasoned striker. Lukaku played at Inter Milan under Antonio Conte, the current manager of Napoli. Reuniting with Conte might tempt Lukaku. Having worked with Lukaku before, Conte thinks the striker can start right away. Conte is thus urging for this move.

Napoli anticipates losing their top scorer Victor Osimhen this summer. They need a trustworthy goal scorer, and Lukaku is that guy. Osimhen could be best replaced by Lukaku given his track record. The 31-year-old showed his brilliance by scoring 21 goals for AS Roma the previous season. His previous triumph at Inter Milan emphasises his skills even more. Should Napoli seal the agreement, Lukaku would be a great acquisition. With Osimhen sold, Napoli would have the money to pay Lukaku.
