Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko will no longer be at Arsenal. Both players are going to quit the team this summer. As part of his effort to restructure the defensive lineup, Edu Gaspar made this choice. Both Jakub Kiwior and these two left-backs will be in Mikel Arteta’s future plans, however.
At Arsenal, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney used to be direct rivals for the left-back spot. At last, Zinchenko led this fight and eliminated Tierney from the starting lineup. But last season Zinchenko’s performances were inconsistent, thus Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior filled in. Arsenal has now chosen to take bids for Zinchenko and Tierney as the summer transfer window draws near.
Last season, Real Sociedad had Kieran Tierney on loan. Though he may have moved permanently to the Spanish team, Arsenal would rather trade him for £20 million. Tierney has not adjusted to Arteta’s playing style even though the left-back position has changed throughout the last two seasons. His learning of the “inverted” full-back position that Arteta wants has been difficult.
Clubs are not currently actively interested in Tierney. But his involvement for Scotland in the Euros might alter things. Tierney is probably going to depart Arsenal shortly after some strong performances in Germany draw the attention of a few teams.
Arsenal Will Sell These Two Players
Nevertheless, Zinchenko is worth more in the market. Arsenal wants €45 million for the captain of Ukraine. Top inverted full-back Zinchenko hasn’t lived up to Arteta’s energy standards. Zinchenko is of interest to Bayern Munich, which is managed by Vincent Kompany now. He seems like a good match, particularly given the unknown future of Alphonso Davies. Zinchenko is probably going to draw significantly more offers than Tierney, and his sale seems certain.
Arsenal will have to acquire a new left-sided defender at the very least after Tierney and Zinchenko are sold. Depending on their requirements and the state of the market, this may be a specialist left-back or a flexible one.
With the evaluation, Edu Gaspar hopes to get rid of unneeded players so that new ones may be signed. Meeting Arteta’s tactical needs and strengthening the team are goals shared by the club. This defensive makeover will mostly include the exits of Tierney and Zinchenko.
Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been informed by Arsenal that they are free to leave the team this summer. Leading the defensive cleanout to create room for new signings is Edu Gaspar. Jakub Kiwior remains, but Arteta has other ideas for Tierney and Zinchenko. The way Tierney does in the Euros will determine his future, while Zinchenko is already drawing attention from teams like Bayern Munich. Once these sales are finished, Arsenal will try to recruit at least one new left-sided defender.

Arsenal was taken aback by Benjamin Sesko’s choice to remain at RB Leipzig for another year. They felt they were going to sign him. Sesko had been almost persuaded personally by Arsenal, but they were taken aback by his ultimate choice.
Sesko has long shown desire in joining the Premier League. Interest from AC Milan and Napoli did not rank highly with him. Finding his €65 million release clause to be excessive, neither club wanted to pay it. But Arsenal seemed prepared to part with that sum. They were confident in signing Sesko and were having good talks with his entourage.
