Arsenal Have Contacted Wolves For A Signing

Arsenal wants to re-sign Wolverhampton Wanderers' Dan Bentley. The team wants to increase its choices for goalkeeping

Arsenal wants to re-sign Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Dan Bentley. The team wants to increase its choices for goalkeeping for next season. The Athletic claims that Arsenal got in touch with Wolves in order to negotiate a contract for Bentley, a former player of their academy. Years ago Bentley joined Arsenal’s junior divisions, but departed the Under-18 squad in 2009. Before going to Wolves in January 2023, he lived four years at Bristol City. Though he only plays nine games for Wolves, he is very important for their team. Although his present contract runs for 12 months, an extension for two more years is under discussion.

Arsenal Have Contacted Wolves For A Signing

Arsenal’s interest in Bentley arises from their need for consistent goalkeeping choices. They recruited David Raya on a season-long loan from Brentford last summer, with purchase option. Just making 11 appearances last season, Raya displaced Aaron Ramsdale as the top goalkeeper. Lack of playing time has annoyed Ramsdale and resulted in anticipation he may depart in quest of consistent first-team participation. Arsenal also has Karl Hein among its players. But Mikel Arteta wants a more consistent backup goalkeeper. Their former academy player Bentley seems to match the bill. His familiarity with the club and expertise equip him to be a strong backup.

Wolves, however, are not eager to let Bentley go. They will only contemplate selling if a sizable offer comes their way, one that will help them to identify a qualified successor; they esteem him much. Arsenal’s first interaction with Wolves is the first stage in this possible move. Whether Arsenal will satisfy Wolves’ needs to get Bentley back is yet to be seen. The circumstances gives Arsenal’s summer transfer intentions, particularly in their goalkeeping division, more suspense.

Ultimately, Arsenal’s quest of Bentley shows their proactive attitude to team building. Whether or whether they re-sign him will rely on talks with Wolves and their eagerness to satisfy club requirements.

Inter Milan wants Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal this summer. According to reports, Arsenal was approached by Serie A champions over a purchase of the 24-year-old versatile defender. Given Kiwior’s gloomy future at Arsenal, this makes sense for the Gunners to sell. Going to Inter Milan thrills Kiwior. There more game time for the Polish international. Inter Milan has to strengthen their team with top-notch players, and Kiwior is just perfect. He started Arsenal in January 2023 but unable to find a consistent starting position. Moving to Italy, where he once shone with Spezia, could enable him to rediscover his form.

Kiwior provides adaptability as he can play defensive midfield and center defense. Inter Milan finds him appealing because of this adaptability. He attracted attention from other Serie A teams including AC Milan. Inter Milan want to sign him at a fair price, nevertheless. Deal negotiations between the teams will decide whether or not a bargain results. Arsenal aligned itself with Riccardo Calafiori and has several defensive choices. Bringing Calafiori would force Kiwior down the pecking order, hence a move makes sense for both sides. Inter Milan is a famous team, hence Kiwior finds great attraction in the possibility to play for them.
