Sevilla seem to have sealed the deal for Albert Sambi Lokonga, a midfielder currently playing for Arsenal. The 24-year-old Lokonga reportedly has an oral deal with the Spanish club, according to Diario de Sevilla. Yet, the conditions have not been agreed by Arsenal and Sevilla. In spite of this, everyone is sure that they can come to an agreement.
It seems probable that Lokonga’s transfer to Sevilla will be a season-long loan with a buyout clause. Lokonga started his professional career at Anderlecht and then went to Arsenal for £17 million in 2021. This is a major milestone for him. Despite showing potential in his first season at Arsenal, he had trouble breaking into Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup. Even though injuries hindered Lokonga’s development on his loan at Luton Town last season, he still played in 19 games.
Arsenal Player Has Verbal Agreement To Leave The Club
If Arsenal wants to create way for new players, they seem prepared to let Lokonga leave. Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny, and Arthur Okonkwo are just a few of the Gunners players that have left the club. They are planning to add additional members shortly, albeit they haven’t done so yet. A new striker, central midfielder, and center back are the top three players Arsenal is aiming to sign.
Defending Premier League champion Manchester City defeated Arsenal last season. They plan to add players this summer so they can be a championship contender again in 2024–25. The key to Arteta and his team’s success is bringing in new talent. As part of their reorganization, Arsenal will be sending Lokonga to Sevilla.
Lokonga might get a new start and the playing time he needs to continue developing with this trade. Arsenal has to get its roster in check and make sure they have enough talented players to challenge for the championship. Lokonga and Arsenal are crossing their fingers that this decision will be beneficial down the road.

The Gunners supporters may finally let their guard down since their team is about to make its first signing of the summer transfer season. There has been growing expectation as Arsenal has been connected to many players, despite their rather quiet market presence so far. While at Euro 2024, Mikel Arteta and sports director Edu Gaspar have been tirelessly searching for new talent. Making a title-contending Premier League team is their one and only goal. Riccardo Calafiori, a defender for Bologna and Italy, is one of the guys that has caught their attention. His stunning displays at Euro 2024 have piqued interest, and Arsenal seems to be on the verge of signing him to a deal in North London.
The Gunners are reportedly closing close on a deal to acquire Calafiori, according to Italian writer Tancredi Palmeri. Many Premier League teams are interested in the defender, including West Ham, Chelsea, and Newcastle, thanks to his ‘world-class’ classification from XValue and his outstanding performances at the Euros. Arsenal seems to have beaten Juventus and all of their interest in signing him.
