His contract with Brentford runs for twelve months, and he has refused down many renewals. After the European Championship is completed, Toney is about make his future decision.

Atletico Madrid Set To Hijack Arsenal Target

Toney first joined Brentford in 2020 and has been essential ever since. He wants to join a larger club, however. At 28 he sees it is time for a fresh adventure. Some Premier League heavyweights have seen his ambition. Toney interests Arsenal and Chelsea as they are looking for a new number nine. Furthermore seen as a possible addition to support Rasmus Hojlund is Manchester United. Conversely, Tottenham wants to under Ange Postecoglou enhance their assault.

Not one of the Premier League teams have taken a specific action in spite of the interest. This has opened Atletico Madrid’s path. Diego Simeone’s squad seeks a powerful number nine with physical presence and goal-scoring capacity. Toney most certainly matches this description. Given Alvaro Morata’s uncertain future, Atletico has asked about Tenty’s availability. Toney is the perfect addition the Madrid team needs on their lineup. Still, Brentford’s asking price presents a big challenge. They are adamant about not reducing their demand below £50 million, and securing the striker would need at least £60 million.

Since Toney wants to further his profession, his next action will be very important. The story of the deal takes an interesting turn from Atletico Madrid’s curiosity. Which team can satisfy Brentford’s assessment and persuade Toney to join their ranks will become clear in the next weeks.

One of Ligue 1’s best teams, Marseille is apparently bidding for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah. Football Insider claims that the French team regards Nketiah as a goal as they want to improve their attack for the next season.  Originally released from Chelsea, Nketiah joined Arsenal at sixteen and has made great progress since. Having been in Arsenal’s first team since 2019, he has scored 38 goals and played over 160 games. Though he has made contributions, he has never had a stable starting place; manager Mikel Arteta has favored Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz at number nine.

Nketiah had little playing time last season—less than 1,400 minutes on the field. Arsenal is aiming to acquire another elite striker, hence Nketiah’s prospects of consistent first-team involvement appear even less. This circumstances creates the possibility for a relocation. Marseille is eager to act knowing Nketiah’s contract situation still has three years remaining. Arsenal could be ready to negotiate a fair transfer price, they think. Although other Premier League teams have shown interest in Nketiah, Marseille seems to be the most driven. The club has started corresponding with Nketiah’s officials already.
