Everton Wants To Sign The £50m Arsenal Player

Everton could soon aim for an Arsenal player to strengthen their summer additions. Tim Iroegbunam, Iliman Ndiaye, and Jack Harrison have joined Sean Dyche’s team, thus immediately seeing notable additions. They have also had Omari Benjamin from Arsenal secured. Eddie Nketiah, another Arsenal player, could now be of interest. Future at Arsenal for Nketiah seems dubious. He slid to third in the pecking order last season. Reportedly willing to leave Mikel Arteta’s side, Caught Offside notes Everton, West Ham, and Wolves are keen. While Roberto De Zerbi apparently wants to take him to Marseille, sources indicate English teams would soon make a bid.

Nketiah’s asking price, almost £50 million, presents a major obstacle. Although Arteta has called him “incredible,” many teams would object at such a hefty cost considering Nketiah’s minimal involvement at Arsenal. This is where a loan move might help everyone concerned. With consistent playing, a loan would let Nketiah show himself. For teams like Everton, it would mean finding a gifted player for little initial outlay. Should Nketiah excel during his loan term, Arsenal may then be justified in their high asking price or even attract more. This arrangement could also help Nketiah to display his abilities and get experience, therefore easing his tensions.

This summer Everton has had a bold and aggressive approach. They have not hesitated to bring in fresh players, hence adding Nketiah will help their assault to be even stronger. He appeals because of his adaptability and potential. Everton would be wise to negotiate a loan agreement as it would be in line with their previous effective acquisitions.

Eddie Nketiah may soon depart Arsenal, with Everton among the teams looking at him. Given the financial and strategic advantages for everyone engaged, a loan move appears logical. Nketiah may be the next great addition to Everton’s team as they get their aggressive buying campaign under way.

More news:

Arsenal still has to make their first summer acquisition, and pre-season is only around the horizon, hence the time is running. The club must finalize transactions to improve the team. Among the few names that are floating around the transfer market, Riccardo Calafiori seems to be the closest to Arsenal. Calafiori and Arsenal reportedly have agreed on personal terms. Still, the teams have to decide on the transfer cost. Calafiori however has showed Arsenal his loyalty. To prove his will to join the Gunners, he has apparently told Mikel Arteta he would not take any offers.

For a few weeks Calafiori has been under much attention. Still, Arsenal’s discussions with Bologna appear to have reached a halt. Arsenal has to choose now whether to satisfy Bologna’s needs to retain the player. Calafiori isn’t the reason the transaction is delayed. He has performed his share and seems ready to join the Gunners. Now the clubs have to decide on something. The Gunners have to choose whether to make the investment on the gifted player. Calafiori seems ready to wait for the trade to go through, so Arsenal gains some power from his dedication.
