Manchester United Are Very Close To Signing This Arsenal Player

For Arsenal’s 16-year-old striker, Chido Obi-Martin, Manchester United move is almost certainty. Talks between the two teams seem to be accelerating, implying a youthful goal machine movement soon. Given Obi-Martin’s exceptional performance in previous seasons, Arsenal supporters have conflicting emotions regarding this possible move.

Native of Glostrup, Chido Obi-Martin joins Arsenal in 2022 He has progressed since then rather remarkably. In only 18 Under-18 Premier League games last season he scored 32 goals and offered three assists. October 2023 saw his entire ability shown as he scored 10 goals in one Under-16 game against Liverpool. His achievements have placed him among the most attractive prospects in English football.

Obi-Martin has chosen to look for possibilities elsewhere even if he has amazing form. Arsenal told him he could remain, but he turned down. Manchester United, renowned for developing youthful talent, see immense promise in him. They think he may follow in the footsteps of recent academy graduates like Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, who have become frequent in their first squad.

The discussions between Arsenal and Manchester United have apparently progressed to an advanced level. Obi-Martin is working on a professional deal, so he could shortly wear the Red Devils’ shirt. Arsenal loses a player that may have been a Gunners future star, hence this development disappoints them.

Arsenal supporters, might find it difficult to watch one of their most gifted young players go. This action, however, may also provide Obi-Martin the opportunity to flourish and realize his greatest potential. Although losing Obi-Martin is a loss, Arsenal’s young academy has generated many outstanding players, therefore it is also evidence of the kind of potential they keep developing.

Even if this move hurts Arsenal fans, it shows how well the team develops elite players. By choosing Manchester United, Obi-Martin’s ambition and the appeal of consistent first-team play come through. Arsenal will surely keep turning out and drawing outstanding players to guarantee a great future for the team.

Eddie Nketiah seems suited for a possible transfer to Olympique Marseille. Although personal terms are already in place, the move may not be simple. Coming up from the Gunners’ levels and joining the first squad in 2019, Nketiah hasn’t been consistent starting player. A brief loan at Leeds United had not much effect on his course. Though highly regarded, he mostly serves as a backup under Mikel Arteta.

Nketiah participated in 37 games last season but only logged fewer than 1,400 minutes on the field. Though he has some outstanding performance, he doesn’t look likely to be the first-choice striker very soon. Nketiah is looking for more consistent playing and finds the trip to Marseilles appealing.

Marseille wants to strengthen their front line even if they have good attacking options, hence Nketiah would be a great acquisition. Mason Greenwood from Manchester United was just recruited by them, and they think Nketiah may improve their attack further. Although they have agreed on personal terms with Nketiah, talks with Arsenal remain difficult.

With prospective deals for Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson on the horizon, Nketiah still has three years remaining on his Arsenal contract and the club isn’t rushing to let him leave. Arsenal has placed Nketiah’s asking price at £50 million quite high. Marseille is reluctant to satisfy this demand, however. Arsenal’s position is strong; they want a more amount than AS Monaco paid for Folarin Balgyn last summer.
