Arsenal are pushing hard to sign two world class forwards in the summer

Arsenal’s transfer plans for the summer window have begun to take shape with clear intent. After finishing the season on a competitive note but still falling short of silverware, the club’s leadership seems intent on adding significant firepower to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

There’s a growing sense inside the Emirates that their attacking options need a sharper edge. While Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have chipped in, neither striker provided the clinical output expected over a long season. Meanwhile, the wide options have lacked balance, especially on the left. This gap, combined with the team’s ambitions, explains their aggressive approach as the summer nears.

Arsenal are pushing hard to sign two world class forwards in the summer

Fichajes report that Arsenal are pushing hard to sign Viktor Gyokeres and Nico Williams as part of their main business. The club is working on these deals early to avoid complications later. Gyokeres has emerged as Arteta’s preferred option up front. Sporting CP have softened their stance on his fee, which helps Arsenal’s case. Benjamin Sesko remains on their radar, though he’s not the top priority anymore. Nico Williams, seen as a perfect fit on the left wing, will require Arsenal to meet his release clause.

The total spend could cross €110 million, though the deals remain in different stages. Gyokeres seems more attainable right now. Williams’ wages and agent demands could drag that move longer. The Gunners are keeping backup options alive, with Antoine Semenyo and Jamie Gittens monitored. Both offer different profiles, though neither bring the same pace and flair Williams possesses. Arsenal are preparing contracts, financial packages, and plans, aiming to complete both moves swiftly if possible.

From Arsenal’s point of view, the intent is good but execution matters more now. If they want to catch Manchester City or stay ahead of chasing clubs like Liverpool, they need to close deals early. Gyokeres makes sense. He brings direct running, strength, and goals. He could lead the line in a way no current striker does. Williams is trickier. His wage demands might upset Arsenal’s internal structure. The Gunners should act smartly. If they can’t get Williams without breaking their pay scale, then alternatives like Semenyo, who works hard and can play multiple roles, deserve more attention.

Arteta needs players who press, track back, and finish. If Gyokeres signs and hits the ground running, that solves a key issue. The other wide role might be best filled with someone who adds balance instead of flash. This could be a summer that defines the club’s next three years. The ambition is clear, but the decisions will speak louder. Arsenal fans should expect movement early. If they execute correctly, this team could finally reach the level its football promises but hasn’t yet achieved.
