Arsenal are ready to sell their £90,000-a-Week player this summer

Arsenal do not want to stand still this summer. After falling short again in the fight for the Premier League, the board plans to make big decisions. The Emirates smells of renewal. Mikel Arteta is well aware that the squad needs a bit of a shake-up. Departures are on the table.

The signings are being cooked over a medium heat, while the fans hold their breath. The new names are exciting. But it is surprising to see that some of those who seemed to be permanent fixtures could now be leaving. Among them, Leandro Trossard. The Belgian arrived to add spark to the attack. And he has delivered. But something has changed.

Arsenal are ready to sell Leandro Trossard

According to Sky Sports’ Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal would be willing to sell Trossard for around twenty million euros. A modest figure for a player who cost almost twenty-seven. His contract runs out in two years. Until recently, there was talk of extending it. Everything went wrong when he changed agent.

The previous one, close to him, left due to personal problems. Talks were put on ice. Now Andrea Berta is exploring ways out. Saudi Arabia and European clubs have enquired about him. Meanwhile, the Gunners are already dreaming of Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze. This makes it clear that the left flank may soon have a new owner.

Arsenal want more goals and dynamism. They already let Tierney, Partey and Jorginho go. Zinchenko could follow them. There are even rumours about Gabriel Martinelli. Arteta shakes the tree. And the wind blows away anyone who doesn’t fit in. Trossard, despite being happy in London, could pack his bags if a serious offer arrives. The sporting management does not rule out anything. It all depends on the figure and the real interest.

Is it a good move for Arsenal?

But does it make sense to sell Trossard? The question weighs heavily. My opinion: it is an unnecessary risk. Trossard brings something that not everyone has. He is versatile, good on one-on-one and often comes up in tight games. He may not be an undisputed starter, but he adds from the bench without complaining. Trossard’s departure would free up salary, yes, but twenty million does not guarantee a reliable replacement.

If the idea is to sign Madueke, it is not clear that he will have the same immediate adaptation. Gyokeres is more of a pure “9”, not a winger. Eze is a different profile, more of a creative midfielder. I see a somewhat hasty move. I understand that the club are looking to rejuvenate, but experience is lost.

With the Champions League back in sight, you need quality depth. Trossard gives you that. Plus, his value could go up if he starts the season well. Sometimes it pays to be patient. It’s not all about buying and selling on impulse. Arsenal have already shown in other cases that a healthy dressing room is built with people who accept their role. Trossard has done that. If he leaves, Arsenal will have to get it right with whoever comes in, and that, in this market, is never easy.
