Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle United target 24-year-old Aston Villa star

Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing 24-year-old Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey

Jacob Ramsey attracts interest from three Premier League clubs: Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur

Jacob Ramsey grew up in an Aston Villa shirt. Since the age of 17, the England midfielder has had an unstable career, full of ups and downs. He has starred at key stages and, at the same time, has gone unnoticed at others. Despite this irregularity, his name is still on the lips of several top clubs. This is no coincidence. His profile fits in with different styles and tactics, and his versatility is appreciated. Now, with the season set to get underway and market movements accelerating, his future is in the news again.

Aston Villa have improved a lot under Unai Emery. The team returned to Europe, showed a more serious structure, and left behind years of irregularity. Although still not a top club, the growth has been real. However, keeping all the talent is not so easy, especially if money is on the table and the financial books are tight.

Confirmed interest from North London and beyond

According to a report from Graeme Bailey in TBR FootballArsenal, Newcastle, and Tottenham want to sign Jacob Ramsey this summer. The situation at Villa is clear: the club are considering selling him for accounting profits linked to PSR. Ramsey, meanwhile, is open to a change of scenery, especially if an offer from a club with a Champions League ticket comes in.

The 24-year-old midfielder has already made more than 150 appearances for the Villans. He has scored 17 goals and provided 19 assists. Although he has not always started for Emery, his versatility makes him a valuable asset. The Englishman can play in midfield or as a left winger. His energy, good technique and reading of the game make him attractive to coaches looking for tactical flexibility.

A career-defining decision

Ramsey has the chance to make a major breakthrough. If Villa sell him, it won’t be for lack of quality, but out of managerial necessity. Arsenal need depth and could do with a player who can alternate in the double pivot or as a deep-lying midfielder. However, competition in that area is fierce. With Rice, Ødegaard and options such as Vieira or Norgaard, Ramsey would risk being sidelined.

Newcastle seem the most logical destination. Longstaff is already out, and Joelinton’s future is unresolved. Ramsey could adapt quickly, earn minutes and continue to grow in a team that is still building its identity. Tottenham are also an option, although the midfield chaos remains unresolved.

Aston Villa are likely to listen to offers, and if that happens, Ramsey will choose the Champions League. In that context, the Magpies look like the best option. They would offer him minutes, an ambitious project and the visibility he needs at this stage of his career.
