Arsenal will do all that they can to stop star from leaving for Real Madrid; player is interested

Arsenal have no intentions of letting William Saliba leave the club at any stage in the near future despite Real Madrid’s interest.

Arsenal stand firm with William Saliba: he’s not going anywhere

The Emirates is no longer a place of passage. What used to be a train station for promising young players now looks more like a solid project. Arsenal have rebuilt their foundations with patience, young blood and a clear idea. Since Mikel Arteta took the reins, the Gunners have stopped living on memories. In the last two seasons, they have flirted with the Premier League, forced City and Liverpool to stay on their toes and returned to the Champions League with a hunger for success. They are not satisfied. Now they are looking to establish themselves as a feared team in England and a respected one in Europe.

In this context, any rumour about the possible departure of one of their key players sets off alarm bells. Great teams are often victims of their own success. When the spotlight is on you, the giants of the continent come calling, and if those giants wear white, like Real Madrid, the temptation is even greater. However, not everyone in London is willing to listen to the siren song.

Real Madrid watch, Arsenal block

According to Mick Brown, former head of scouting for Manchester United and Blackburn, Real Madrid has been following William Saliba for some time. The Spanish club makes no secret of its interest. They are looking for reinforcements in defence, and they know that the Frenchman has a valid contract, but time is running out. Brown told Football Insider that Arsenal are not considering it. Mikel Arteta is not opening that door; not now, not anytime soon. They want to keep him, protect him, and make him a pillar of their project.

Saliba is not just a centre-back. He is calm, anticipates and controls. He reads the game as if he had a camera in the sky. At 24, he dominates individual duels, distributes cleanly and rarely makes mistakes. For a coach who wants to build from the back, the Frenchman is pure gold. Arsenal do not find many like him.

The future is written in red and white

There is not much mystery. Real Madrid will wait; they always do. However, it does not look like they will get their way this time. Arsenal have made the transition from a selling club to an ambitious club, and in that change, figures like Saliba are untouchable. Offers will come, and they will probably be huge. But the message is clear: he is not for sale.

From our point of view, Arsenal are right to close ranks. Saliba represents what they are building. Selling him would be a step backwards. Not even Madrid’s £100 million would guarantee finding another like him. In a market where complete defenders are increasingly scarce, letting him go would be a mistake. Furthermore, Arteta has already shown that continuity is key to competing. Keeping William is not just about retaining talent; it is about protecting an idea; it is about sustaining a project. If the goal is to win the Premier League and the Champions League, you need players like him. Let Madrid wait. Arsenal have already chosen their path.
