Arsenal, Liverpool and United Join Newcastle in Fierce Pursuit of Breakout Wide Star

A host of Premier League sides are firmly in the mix for Antoine Semenyo, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United.

According to Ekrem Konur, the chase for Antoine Semenyo now seems ready to turn into a real battle as several major clubs circle the Bournemouth forward.

The Ghanaian attacker has stood out since August, and his form has pushed interest to a new level, partly because his deal includes a £65 million release clause that gives any serious bidder a straightforward way to start talks.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United are interested

Semenyo has played with confidence on the flanks, and he keeps stretching back lines with direct and sharp movement. Because of that, clubs in need of an attacker have placed him near the top of their transfer lists, and interest has grown each week.

Bournemouth have little control over what happens next if that clause is triggered, and the club accepts that any firm proposal could change their season immediately.

Liverpool have already held discussions as they look to adjust their options after a heavy summer spend. They see Semenyo as someone who brings something different in wide areas, and they still feel well placed in this chase, even though rivals keep increasing the pressure each day. Even with early suggestions that Semenyo could stay until the summer window, the situation may change if a determined club makes a direct approach.

Arsenal feature in the race as well, and reports regularly point out that Semenyo grew up admiring the Gunners, a detail that gives Mikel Arteta a small emotional advantage. The north London side continues to monitor wide forwards who can offer pace on either flank, and Semenyo’s form gives them a clear reason to stay involved.

What’s more?

Meanwhile, Manchester United intend to stay busy despite spending heavily on wide players in the previous window. The Red Devils want depth that can make an impact straight away, and Semenyo fits that idea because he has shown he can create danger in tight matches without fuss.

Newcastle United complete the group of serious contenders. Even though they already have two strong left-wingers in Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes, they still lack a reliable right-sided option. Semenyo can operate on both sides, and that flexibility appeals to Eddie Howe as he plans the next stage of his squad.

Semenyo’s next move depends on who steps forward with real intent, yet the level of interest suggests that January could bring a story that shapes the rest of the season.
