Match Preview : Will Eden Hazard Start For The Blues Against Burnley ?

Hazard

Burnley are going to welcome the Blues at the Turf Moor on Sunday in the tenth gameweek of the Premier League. Maurizio Sarri’s men are still unbeaten in this season in all competitions after the defeat against Manchester City in the Community Shield match. Maurizio Sarri will be the first Chelsea manager to be unbeaten in first 10 games in the first season at charge. Maurizio Sarri’s men have won 6 matches and drawn in 3 occasions against West Ham, Manchester United and Liverpool. In the previous week, the Blues were lucky to get one point against Manchester United with a last minute goal of Ross Barkley.

Maurizio Sarri’s men came back in the winning way in Europa League. Ruben Loftus Cheek’s Hat-Trick has given the Blues an easy victory against Bate Borisov. Now they will surely be ready to take on Burnley at Turf Moor. Burnley’s record at Turf Moor is not very good against Chelsea. They were able to manage only draw in their last four meetings against Chelsea at Turf Moor. The other three matches were won by the Blues.

Team News :

Burnley :

Burnley are going to miss the service of their new recruit of the summer transfer window, Ben Gibson in this match against Chelsea as the centre back is suffering from a hernia injury. On the other hand, Aaron Lennon is going to miss the match against the Blues due to illness. In his place Brady might come in the midfield of Burnley as he is now fully fit to start a game after recovering from the injury.

Chelsea :

Maurizio Sarri has indicated that he would make 6-7 changes in the Chelsea side which has faced Bate Borisov in the Europa League in the midweek. Eden Hazard was not in the squad of Chelsea in the Europa League match against Bate Borisov. He was also absent in the training session of the Blues on Friday. According to the sources, the Belgian winger is suffering from a back pain after the match against Manchester United. The United players have tackled hard and especially Ashley Young was deployed to stop Eden Hazard by any means. The Belgian winger is doubtful to make a start against Burnley. But Maurizio Sarri will be waiting till the last minute for the confirmation from Eden Hazard. A late fitness test is on the way for the Belgian winger on Sunday.

Jorginho and N’Golo Kante will be back in the Starting XI of the west London outfit, while defenders Rudiger and David Luiz are also going to keep their place in the Starting XI of the Blues. Three positions that are uncertain for Chelsea as two players are capable to play in the same position there. Maurizio Sarri has to choose one between Giroud/Morata, Barkley/Kovacic and Willian/Pedro.
