Team News :

Chelsea :

The Blues are currently having many injury problems at this point of time in the season. Pedro is still out of contention with the hamstring injury problem. Olivier Giroud is also not fit to start this match for the Blues. Accoding to Maurizio Sarri, Ruben Loftus Cheek is also going to miss this match due to a back injury.

So, the Blues will not have much options for this match against Newcastle United. Kepa Arrizabalaga will hold his place under the bars in this match for the Blues. Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta will play at both the flanks in the defense . On the other hand, David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger are expected to pair up in the central defense.

Ross Barkley is expected to be benched in this match for the Blues for this match as Maurizio Sarri will be backing his chosen three midfielders’ set in this match. Jorginho will be playing the role of a deep lying playmaker in this match. N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic will be the other two Midfielders present in the starting lineup of the Blues.

Willian is expected to keep his place in the starting eleven for the Blues. Though it is confirmed that Callum Hudson Odoi will be there in the bench for the Blues and he will be involved in some part of the match. The Blues will be expecting Eden Hazard to be back in the score-sheet in this match. Alvaro Morata might also take part in this match as Olivier Giroud is injured.

Newcastle United :

Rafa Benitez will be desperate to take at least one point from Stamford Bridge. He will surely apply his ultra defensive strategy against the Blues in this match. The players of Chelsea should keep themselves away from the heavy tackles of Jonjo Shelvey. Though, the Magpies will miss two of their players in this big match as Ki Sung Yeong and Muto are now involved in the Asia Cup.
